Demand for #sustainable #battery #materials ♻️ 🔋 is growing in both the United States and Europe. CEO Mike O'Kronley was asked recently about Ascend Elements' growth in Europe. Increasing demand from global customers and new regulations in the EU are among the most compelling reasons. "Many of our customers are global in nature. They have a need for circularity of critical battery materials, not only in the United States, but also in Europe." We’re honored to be recognized in the Reducing Emissions category of the 2024 Automotive D.R.I.V.E. Honours from Reuters Events. This award recognizes organizations making a #sustainable impact by reducing carbon #emissions, creating #EV solutions, and/or #recycling. We’re proud to be recognized alongside SK On and Polestar. Our Hydro-to-Cathode® direct precursor synthesis process manufactures new EV battery cathode active material (CAM) from recycled content with 49% lower carbon emissions compared to traditional methods and primary material from mining. By 2030, we aim to achieve a 90% lower carbon footprint! Marketing manager Sarah Jose attended the awards ceremony in Detroit to collect our trophy on Monday. It’s exciting to see the judges acknowledge our efforts, “Ascend Elements is targeting an area of high importance. Recycling #battery materials in a cost- and environmentally-efficient way is crucial to achieving a sustainable transition to #EVs. The quality of the company and its processes appears to be validated based on acknowledgments from governments and private investors alike. Impressive track record so far.” Learn more about the Automotive D.R.I.V.E. Honours for 2024. 👇 https://lnkd.in/e9CVj6C8
