Recently, Washington State Patrol responded to 911 calls about a kitten stranded on the shoulder of a very busy interstate. The rescue, captured on #AxonBodyCam, shows troopers pulling the scared kitten from under a concrete barrier and carrying him to safety. But the story didn’t end there. After a quick ride in the patrol car and a check-up at the vet, the kitten became the newest addition to a trooper’s family. #Axon #ProtectLife

On last night’s segment, NBC Nightly News covered the impact of Axon Assistant’s Real-Time Translation in reshaping public safety communication across language gaps and why it’s gaining interest beyond local agencies. “You see their faces light up,” one Joliet officer shared, describing the moment someone realizes they’re being understood. Since June, Joliet Police Department has used the tool to translate more than 1,800 conversations across 23 languages. In one case, it helped officers collect critical details in Vietnamese that led to the recovery of a missing child. With Axon Assistant, officers can speak AND listen with clarity during multilingual interactions using the same body-worn cameras already on shift.
