Long Range Precision Fires is a phrase thrown around a lot, but what exactly does it mean? Long Range Precision Fires is the next generation of US Army missiles, greatly increasing the range, lethality and providing cross-domain capabilities to the joint force. This US Army #modernization priority is vital to staying ahead of adversarial capabilities, and the Center is hard at work on LRPF testing the limits of the possible. #TechToProtect | #ModernizationMonday

This transition of function to the hub of Army Aviation at Redstone will provide unparalleled synergy as we transform aviation capabilities for the future.” As part of this historic reorganization reaching the highest echelons of the U.S. Army, DEVCOM AvMC will transfer its Design, Simulation & Experimentation division, located at Moffett Field on the NASA Ames, CA, campus, to Redstone Arsenal, AL, and Joint-Base Langley-Eustis, VA, effective June 2026. HALT, or highly accelerated lifetime testing, consists of a test chamber and an algorithm that puts a test asset, such as a missile, through the vibration and temperature environment that it will experience over years of use.
