When Sherean’s son Hunter was just 3 years old, he was obsessed with MARTA. 🚆
🎃 So when Halloween rolled around, he didn’t want to be a superhero or a ghost, he wanted to be a MARTA train. With a little creativity, some duct tape, pipe cleaners, and a cardboard box, Sherean’s husband brought that dream to life.
That homemade costume was a huge hit in their Brookhaven neighborhood’s Halloween parade, which draws more than 500 kids each year!
Living just behind the Brookhaven MARTA Station, the family said their neighbors loved it, and people are still talking about it years later.
In fact, a few parents even reached out to see if they could buy the costume, but Sherean says they’ll never part with it. It’s more than just a costume now; it’s a keepsake of Hunter’s love for MARTA and a family memory that continues to bring smiles.
As Sherean put it:
“Someday, I hope to send you pictures of Hunter’s kids wearing it.” ❤️
Stories like this remind us that MARTA isn’t just about getting from point A to point B, it’s a part of the community, the creativity, and the joy that connects us all.
