Wine for the New World

About us

McBride Sisters Wine Company was founded by sisters, Robin McBride and Andréa McBride John who since the inception of their careers in 2005, believe wine companies should be accessible, sustainable, socially conscious and culturally aware. We produce wine across two hemispheres, from premier coastal winemaking regions which are at the root of our story - where Andréa and Robin each grew up - in Aotearoa (pronounced “ah-oh teh-ah ROH-ah”) New Zealand and the Central Coast of California, in the United States. We offer a unique portfolio of leading brands; McBride Sisters Collection, Black Girl Magic Wines, and SHE CAN Wines and spritzers. McBride Sisters Wine Company produces, imports and markets its own wines. It specializes in the Fortune 500 grocery stores and mass retailers, as well as wine and spirits chains, hotels, restaurants, independent wine shops, sports arenas and airlines across almost all 50 states of the U.S, Caribbean and Canada. McBride Sisters Wine Company and all of its brands are on track to achieve scope three carbon certification in 2023, and are globally headquartered in Oakland, California.

  • Last weekend, our Co-Founder Robin McBride and VP of Sales Art Moreno had an incredible time connecting with customers at Total Wine in Texas during an in-store bottle signing event! It’s always special to meet the people who bring our wines home — sharing stories, laughter, and a glass (or two) along the way. Couldn’t make it? Don’t worry — we’re keeping the celebration going. Join us for our next bottle signing event at Total Wine in Emeryville, CA on November 8th. Come say hello, pick up your favorite McBride Sisters Collection wines, and get your bottles signed by Robin herself. Learn more on our events page: https://lnkd.in/g5kYYCcM

  • Last week, we had the incredible opportunity to join the Sistas In Sales Summit in New York and it was nothing short of inspiring. We proudly debuted the SHE CAN Collective, our new platform designed to support ambitious women with real-world resources, mentorship, and access to opportunity. As a company built by women, for women, this moment was deeply personal and deeply energizing. Our co-founder, Robin McBride, took the stage as a keynote speaker to share her journey: growing a business, building community, and navigating leadership as a woman of color in a traditionally exclusive industry. Her message? You can, and you should. We poured our SHE CAN Wines in the happy hour lounge, connected with brilliant women from all industries, and left more motivated than ever to keep opening doors for the next generation. Want to stay in the loop on what’s next for the SHE CAN Collective? Join our newsletter to access tools, opportunities, and stories from women redefining what success looks like, on their own terms. Thank you to William Salvi and The CEO Series team for creating space for honest, meaningful conversations, and for sipping some McBride Sisters wines with us along the way! Stay tuned for the full episode.

  • Exciting News! Whiny Baby has been acquired by GALLO. Two years ago, we partnered with founder Jess Druey to grow Whiny Baby — a bold, playful brand built to welcome new drinkers into the wine category with fresh energy, creativity, and inclusive experiences. As part of our joint venture, McBride Sisters Wine Company was proud to help incubate and support a young founder with a big vision for what wine could be. Today, we’re thrilled to share the next chapter: Whiny Baby has been acquired and officially joins the GALLO portfolio. Congratulations to Jess - we can’t wait to watch you continue to grow and inspire the next generation of wine drinkers. 🥂
