Recently at Web Summit Vancouver, I had the chance to speak as part of the Founders Series keynote lineup, sharing the stage with leaders building what comes next in AI. For Alix, that means applying AI to one of life’s most painful transitions: settling a loved one’s estate after they’ve passed away. Estate settlement is complex, emotional, and operationally brutal: coordinating across banks, insurance companies, brokerages, government agencies, subscriptions, creditors, and more. Families are navigating all of this while grieving. We built an organization of trained AI agents to handle the administrative burden, while our team of empathetic human experts guides families through the important decisions. The executor stays in charge. The painful, time-consuming work? We take that on.
