Is it worth more if a human made it? In an age dominated by automation and AI, we’re witnessing a renewed appreciation for things that bear the mark of a human hand in design, animation, filmmaking, and beyond. Our latest issue of SUMO explores why we still value human-made work, and what makes it truly unique. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/d8DjuaGP Subscribe for the next issue: https://lnkd.in/da3guteV

Sublimio is a branding and strategy boutique agency. We help every business focus its vision and aim for more.
About us
Sublimio is a branding and strategy boutique agency: we choose to work with fewer clients, in order to assure them a tailored care and 100% of our attention. We don’t just offer a service, but rather share with our clients a path towards a clear scope: growing the business through branding and communication. What does it mean ‘to grow’? For a professional it can mean expanding her network. For a new business, becoming a recognized brand on the market. For an existing brand, earning new markets or moving to a premium status. Whatever the case, Sublimio creates a custom team and works creatively and strategically to help every business reach its target spot. — Beautiful Thinking Our philosophy We believe that beauty and reason are two forces that should constantly communicate. Beauty without reason creates wonderful but short-lived objects. Reason without beauty leads to robust mediocrity. Both options are acceptable, but far from ideal. Our work always puts aesthetics and strategy on the same level. It’s a painstaking process, made of balancing and dialectics, but it’s within this balance that our projects find completeness. Brands that work with us think the same way: they refuse to choose between beauty and reason. After all, why should they?

Colors are never just decoration. They can strengthen recognition, shape perception, and even build trust. If chosen poorly, they risk blending into the sea of sameness. In our latest article, Matteo explains how we approach brand colors at Sublimio: from defining the right moment to introduce them, to connecting them with brand meaning, to creating palettes that scale across systems and product lines. We also share insights from our case study for Sakari, where color codes were key to making sake bottles feel authentic yet recognizable worldwide. https://lnkd.in/dSU5yUtw

Exciting news for The Missing Element: our latest bespoke website has just been awarded a Special Kudos by CSS Design Awards, together with all three public awards for UI, UX and Innovation. This recognition adds to the GSAP Website of the Day already received, and we couldn’t be prouder of how this project keeps resonating with the design community. And once again, we’re grateful to our amazing client for the trust, and to our team for turning a bold vision into a tangible experience.

New case study: The Missing Element. — When travelling, some people don’t follow the guides: they follow the vibes. That’s the audience of The Missing Element: a brand providing luxury residences and boats in dream destinations like Ibiza, Miami, Costa Smeralda. With them, the offer is not enough. You need to be on their same frequency. Together with our friends at MessUp, we crafted a brand that speaks that language. From strategy to visual identity, logo design, website and social strategy, everything was conceived to convey vastness, freedom, inspiration, and connection. A world blending luxury with music culture, darkness with bright hues, elegance with energy. Because when design is intentional, it resonates. Full case study here: https://lnkd.in/dUiJ9FmR

Why is our agency called Sublimio? Most people hear “sublime” and think of perfection, elegance, maybe an Italian touch. That’s part of it, sure. But the story goes deeper. The real inspiration is “sublimation.” Solid to gas. Same substance, transformed. Unexpected, surprising, yet entirely real. That’s the philosophy behind our work: helping brands rise, take shape, and surprise without losing themselves. Rigorous, aesthetic, and a little magical. Every detail of our name, even our logo, reflects it. We didn’t just pick a name. We set a standard for what we believe branding can (and should) be. The full story: https://lnkd.in/dWeHk7GT

For some of us, August means holidays, and for many of those, it means getting on a plane. In this month’s SUMO, we explore the fascinating world of air travel, from airport architecture to airline aesthetics, from boarding passes to jet-lag. A mix of design insights, cultural shifts, and the unique spaces in between departure and arrival, with a selection of inspiration cherry-picked by Andrea and Matteo. Is everything a remix? Originality is a tricky concept. We like to think our ideas are unique, but the truth is: every great idea stands on the shoulders of others. In this month’s SUMO, we explore the art (and science) of remixing. From iPods to memes, Freitag to Philippe Starck, we look at how creative reuse isn’t just valid. It’s essential. Brand typography is not a detail. It’s a decision. It defines how your brand speaks visually and emotionally, across every touchpoint. In this new article, our founder Matteo shares how we approach brand typography at Sublimio: not as an aesthetic afterthought, but as a strategic tool to shape perception, build consistency, and fuel long-term brand growth. Because fonts don’t just look a certain way. They make people feel a certain way. And that makes all the difference. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/d4kWe4xD This is the sixth chapter in our series on how we design brands to be clear, distinctive, and built to last.

Who cares about details? We do. Because details are small, but they’re everything. They reveal intention, precision, and the love behind what we do. In this month’s SUMO, Matteo and Andrea explore the role of details in design, content, and life: from Dieter Rams to designer toys, from Apple's Liquid Glass aesthetics to microcopy and Netflix's content strategy. The question is not whether details matter. The question is: do we still have time for them? Read the full issue and get inspired: https://lnkd.in/dw87nDE9
