The next phase of AI shouldn’t create more work to manage. It should fit seamlessly into your unique workflow. Our Chief Product Officer, Noam Lovinsky, shares how we’re building toward a future where AI adapts to the way you work, not the other way around.

You wrote every word yourself, and it still got flagged. Meanwhile, people are saying perceived sincerity drops the moment people think you leaned on AI. That’s the authenticity problem. When polish itself looks suspicious, "did a human write this" is the wrong question. The better one: what stands behind it?

It’s no secret that AI can help security teams scale operations. But actually achieving this reality is a totally different story. There are some classic LLM limitations (like context window limitations or hallucinations) and security-specific issues (like how to make sense of logs across data sources when there isn’t any shared key). But with the right architectural decisions, guardrails, and prompting, you can build a pretty effective AI threat-hunting agent. 💡 That’s exactly what we built with Barney, our AI threat-hunter agent, and it’s quickly become a key part of our security operations. In our latest blog post, we’ll share more about how we built Barney and where we are thinking of taking it next: https://lnkd.in/dMspWdAi

AI is making everyone average. Last week at LinkedIn HQ with Superhuman, I heard something that I've been trying to articulate for a year: over-relying on AI just pulls everyone to the middle faster. That doesn’t mean the tools are the problem, though. It means depending on them to think for you is. That's one of the big ideas in LinkedIn's new report, The New Career Skill Stack, built with Superhuman. If you're stressed about this job market, start here: https://b.sprh.mn/colin #SuperhumanPartner

We’re celebrating Inbox Zero Day! Clear your inbox in Superhuman Mail and enjoy the view. Who’s joining us?
Today is Inbox Zero Day! It’s an annual Superhuman Mail ritual where the team celebrates clearing out their inboxes with fun surprises. Inbox Zero is a ritual I practice daily, and I think most people misunderstand the concept. It isn’t about chasing an empty inbox all the time, which can feel unrealistic and stressful. Instead, I approach it as a processing habit—a way to triage, decide, and act—so your inbox doesnt double as your to-do list or compete for your attention. No matter which email client you use, your inbox feels more manageable when you're in the habit of just handling each email once or twice, rather than constantly having to re-read and mark things unread. Superhuman Mail is built to make the habit of Inbox Zero easy and fast. If you want to try it, today’s the day! I challenge you to beat my 823-day streak.

Last week, I spoke on one of the biggest stages of my career with LinkedIn and Superhuman about how AI is affecting entry-level work and jobs. And somehow, I ended up talking about one of my favorite movies: Top Gun: Maverick. But no, I promise this wasn’t an ADHD-fueled tangential soapbox. One of the movie’s overlooked themes is the debate between automated drones & naval aviators. The point it ultimately makes is that there will always be situations where human nuance and judgment aren’t just preferred, they’re NEEDED. The same is true at work. AI can execute and it can help us move faster. It can even take on parts of our jobs that, frankly, we don't enjoy doing. There were 3 of us on the panel: 2 people at senior levels of their careers, and me, still within my first 5 years. Yet, we ALL agreed that there are parts of our jobs we would gladly never do again. As Leah put it: “Work isn’t all that great.” 😂 That’s the opportunity I see in tools like Superhuman. Let the AI take on the repetitive tasks so that we actually have more time for the things that require US, whether that’s solving a more complex problem, investing in a personal relationship, or, just taking a walk. Personally, I like to measure my AI productivity in how much time I can get back to go take a hot girl walk. 🙂↕️ And despite how different our career paths and even the stages of our career that we are at, all 3 of us had a LOT of shared views about AI & how young people can navigate this AI-shaped world of work: 🤖 AI has made producing output WAY easier, but there’s a huge gap between output and great work. AI can give you a starting point, but you need to understand the fundamental HOW of something to know how to prompt it, refine its work, and recognize mediocre output. Your judgment, taste, POV, and personal context can close that gap. 🤖 AI has made it easier than ever to learn and understand the basics of something new, even in highly technical fields. Don’t use AI as a replacement for learning; use it as a tool to advance it, instead. 🤖 High-stakes decisions can’t be outsourced. As humans, we have taste, judgment, relationships, and biases shaped by our lived experiences. AI doesn’t have those things. Sometimes, that nuance is the difference between a great outcome and a poor one. As AI becomes omnipresent in every part of our lives, the “it” factor is just our humanity. If you want to get ahead in your early career… 1️⃣ Use AI tools like Superhuman to cover the basic, repetitive tasks we don’t like doing anyway. 2️⃣ Use that time you get back to overinvest & overindex on the things that make us wholly and absolutely human: nurture deep relationships, hone your judgment/discernment, and most of all, build lore/become an interesting person. 3️⃣ Get up to speed on “The New Career Skill Stack” via LinkedIn & Superhuman’s report: https://lnkd.in/gzHAmUf7 #SuperhumanPartner #AIInWorkDay

No single score or signal can tell you whether a student really did their own thinking. Join us on October 15 for a live fireside chat with Jenny Maxwell, Head of Superhuman for Education, and GPTZero co-founders Edward Tian and Alex Cui. They'll talk through a fairer way to think about academic integrity: ⭐️ Why several signals, read together, beat any single score 📝 Why the way a paper came together matters as much as the final draft 📄 How to keep students and instructors on the same side GPTZero is now part of Superhuman, and we're building toward a fuller, fairer picture of authentic student work.
