I loved speaking at the Toddle - Your Teaching Partner event yesterday, where we covered everything from emerging trends in online safety in the age of AI, the power of visibility, connection, and curiosity in understanding student behavior, and the show everyone’s talking about - Adolescence. But we didn’t just talk - we moved. Literally. Toddle - Your Teaching Partner know how to put on an event! And what a location! I loved being able to contribute to some insightful discourse on AI and leadership. Thanks to my fellow panelists Jesse Black and Andrew Mifsud for challenging me, and special thanks to Danny Liu for managing to keep us in line! What I learned from the day was that educational leaders in Australia are deeply invested. They care. They want to continue to care. But they all highlighted the deep concerns they have about bureaucracy and compliance and how that can often prevent “good work” from happening. This absolutely echoes what Prem Radhakrishnan and I see on our tours around schools and pushes us to continually think about ways we can leverage #cechat to support Australian Catholic educators and admin staff.
