What if the most advanced technology in your practice gave you back two hours a day?
Working on Tava Scribe has been an absolute privilege. Being at the intersection of cutting-edge AI and clinical mental healthcare has easily been one of the most exciting and meaningful part of my career.
We released Tava Scribe last year just as I started my parental leave. That moment represented the culmination of incredible cross-functional work across all our teams. Since my return, I've watched its impact grow, genuinely amazing the therapists I work with—including myself. As a clinician, I love it, and I've found myself wondering if I'd have stayed in practice if I'd had this tool five years ago.
This experience highlights a fascinating and deeply rewarding reality of working in health technology: we deploy state-of-the-art AI, and the result is hours saved (daily!) for a clinician, ensuring a client receives their therapist's full and present attention.
Building Tava Scribe required a "Therapist-First" approach, built on trust and clinical integrity. Tava was one of the first mental health platforms to build and integrate a tool like this, and we proudly made it free for every provider that uses Tava.
As part of the Clinical Ops team, I got to be part of ensuring we upheld our clinical quality standards—providing and gathering user feedback, working to refine our AI prompts with our product leaders, and guaranteeing not just HIPAA compliance but that rigorous clinical quality standards were met as we built this cutting-edge tool.
We are the teams translating powerful AI into intentional, human, and clinically conscious tools that reduce administrative burnout and enhance consistency of care. This is a strategic, powerful opportunity to drive clinical quality with the power of automation.
I feel so fortunate to be part of this groundbreaking era of AI for clinical quality at Tava Health, working alongside the smartest, most passionate people—individuals who truly care about increasing mental health access and revolutionizing a therapist's work. I'd be remiss if I didn't tag a few of the folks here who were instrumental in building this feature (and I'm not even close to capturing the full list!)
