As we wrapped up visits to colleges and schools across Texas A&M this spring, I was reminded — yet again — of the extraordinary people who make Texas A&M University what it is. From the compassion of our Texas A&M University School of Medicine students to the drive and determination of our graduates, there’s a deep sense of purpose in Aggieland. In this episode of At Ease, I sit down with Dr. Nathan Tichenor, PhD — an exceptional Aggie and the chief research officer at the George H.W. Bush Combat Development Complex at Texas A&M-RELLIS. His work in hypersonics research is advancing national security and creating remarkable opportunities for our students. If you want to see what the future of leadership, innovation and service looks like, this conversation is a good place to start. 🎥 Watch here: https://tx.ag/AtEase KAMU Public Broadcasting, Texas A&M University System #AggieLeadership #AggieResearch #AggieInnovation #National Security

A&M-San Antonio continues to make a powerful impact on Bexar County and the state of Texas. Our latest economic impact study found that in fiscal year 2022-2023 the University drove nearly $300 million in economic impact. Students from the fiscal year 2022-2023 are projected to earn a combined $427 million more over their lifetimes, reflecting the long-term return on investment and economic value of a Jaguar education. Beyond this, A&M-San Antonio’s societal benefits to Texas are valued at a remarkable $2.6 billion. We’re proud to contribute to the local economy, strengthen the workforce, and drive long-term prosperity for South Texas. “This report supports what we have long known to be true—that the South Side, San Antonio and Bexar County are supported and strengthened by our presence,” said President Dr. Salvador Hector Ochoa. “We are an economic powerhouse for our region.” Read more about how A&M–San Antonio is shaping South Texas: https://lnkd.in/g_P3hS4R
