For 99 Giving Day this year, Tencent teams around the world took a simple idea to heart and did good wherever they happened to be. What that looked like changed from office to office, depending on what each local community needed most. In New Zealand, colleagues cleared weeds and planted trees in a nursery garden, while the team in Singapore spent time with seniors and hosted an esports tournament for 40 of them. Teams in the United States put together medical kits for seriously ill children, and in the Netherlands volunteers carried more than 60 donated clothing items across town in heavy rain. There are plenty more highlights from the week in the slides! #99GivingDay #TechForGood

Most people are using AI more than ever, drafting, summarizing, researching, and planning with it daily. And yet, the work doesn’t always feel easier. Tencent Research Institute’s AI Native Work report suggests why: more tools don’t necessarily mean better results. How you organize tasks, guide AI, and review its output matters just as much. Our blog brings together eight practical tips from the report—from building reusable AI Skills and getting a second opinion on important outputs to redesigning workflows and keeping your own skills sharp. Read the full blog for practical ways to make AI more useful in your everyday work. https://lnkd.in/gMveU_84

At Tencent, we've deepened our partnership with National Heritage Board and HeritageSG to advance digital innovation across Singapore's cultural spaces in 2026 — supporting new experiences at ArCH Square, the National Museum of Singapore, and the Asian Civilisations Museum to bring local heritage to life. Beyond heritage, our work in the community extended to Tencent’s annual philanthropic movement, 99 Giving Day, where our Tencent Singapore team gave back through a series of hands-on initiatives, alongside local partners such as CapitaLand Hope Foundation’s #LoveOurSeniors initiative, Ocean Purpose Project, RSVP Singapore The Organisation of Senior Volunteers and Singapore Red Cross, supporting meaningful causes across digital inclusion, senior empowerment, community health, and environmental stewardship. We are grateful to our partners for helping us carry this momentum forward, bringing technology and heart together to create lasting impact across Singapore and beyond. #Tencent #TencentSingapore #99GivingDay #TechForGood #Community #CSR #SingaporeHeritage

When someone's heart stops, the first five minutes decide almost everything. Brain damage can begin within four minutes, and an ambulance usually takes longer than that to arrive. What happens in that gap is often what determines whether someone survives. Tencent's Five-Minute First Aid Circle is designed to mobilize help from across society during this critical window. Through the Tencent First Aid Assistant, a caller can be connected over live video to emergency dispatchers, nearby trained volunteers and the closest AED, so support can begin while the ambulance is still on its way. The network has now enabled more than 98,000 emergency video guidance sessions and supported over 1,341 effective rescues. #WorldFirstAidDay

Doing good can start with a simple action. A prompt after a payment. A livestream where a virtual gift is tied to a real need. A small opportunity to help, built into the rhythm of everyday life. Tencent launched 99 Giving Day in 2015. Twelve years on, more than 24,000 nonprofit organizations and 71,000 charitable projects have taken part. This year, 99 Giving Day brought together 137 million users, more than 1,900 nonprofit organizations and over 4,600 charitable projects. By September 9, more than 21 million users had engaged with Wishing Note, turning a simple message of goodwill into an opportunity to give. At its heart is a simple idea: use technology and thoughtful design to connect goodwill with real needs — making those needs easier to see, giving easier to take part in, and the connections between people stronger.

“I’m one of the crazy ones who really loves it.” Kim Pascal Nguyen started out as a graphic designer 21 years ago. The first time he saw his work go up on the banners and walls of a live event, he discovered a whole new side of the creative process. He has been building experiences ever since. Today, he still sees meeting the brief as the baseline. What matters more is whether the audience, players and everyone involved leave with a reason to come back. Watch Pascal’s story. #LifeAtTencent #TencentTalent

AI gets more interesting when people can put it to work for themselves. Over three days in Hong Kong, people put AI agents to the test — analyzing information, building reports, developing ideas and tackling real workplace tasks. Some of the most useful insights came from the questions they asked: what they wanted AI to take on, where they still wanted to stay in control, and what would actually make their workday easier. Those conversations are an important part of shaping what comes next. Hong Kong was the first stop for Tencent Agent Day, with more cities to come. #AI #AIAgents #FutureOfWork

Lin had just paid for her coffee with Weixin Pay when a prompt invited her to shake her phone and reveal a wish. It came from a child supported by a charitable project. One tap was all it took — and no payment screen appeared, because a corporate donor will fund it. That’s Wishing Note, a new feature on Tencent Philanthropy Platform for this year’s 99 Giving Day. It turns real needs from charitable projects into digital wishes that people can discover, support and share with friends. With International Day of Charity this Saturday, it’s a reminder that doing good can take many forms, and technology can make it easier to take part. Discover more ways to do good on Weixin/WeChat. https://lnkd.in/ez_Z2zfv #99GivingDay #DigitalPhilanthropy #TechForGood
