In design, provenance matters. At the centre of TOD'S second Woolmark certified collection is the Wool Bomber Jacket, crafted from Superfine 15-micron wool sourced from Australian woolgrowing properties that include ‘Paling Yards’, situated north of Taralga, NSW. With wool grown through practices that support rotational grazing, the jacket reflects the fibre’s journey from farm to finished product. Woolmark proudly joined the Sustainable Textiles session at the Australia Pavilion last week, hosted by Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), to champion Australia’s world-leading Merino wool industry on the global stage. Representing Woolmark, Lisa Griplas presented Woolmark+ to showcase how the Australian wool industry is working together to accelerate nature positive progress across the global textile supply chain. From the Woolmark+ Australian Wool Insetting Program to the Nature Positive Farming Framework, attendees — which included valued Japanese trading houses and supply chain partners — discovered how they can continue to collaborate with Woolmark to achieve tangible climate and nature outcomes. The event was also a moment to celebrate the strong trade ties between Australia and Japan, and the shared commitment to a more sustainable textile future. A sincere thank you to Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) for the opportunity to represent Australian wool on this international stage, alongside our good friends at Cotton Australia. Together, we’re building a future where natural fibres lead the way in delivering real environmental impact. This Wool Month, we’re celebrating our fibre’s global story as we partner with Campaign for Wool for its 15th anniversary. As part of this milestone, we brought our wool sourcing platform – The Wool Lab – to the UK trade community, to showcase wool’s power to shape the future of fashion, lifestyle and performance. The event welcomed leading fashion and interiors press, along with long-time brand supporters, to the Farm Shop in Mayfair to showcase innovation, limited-edition designs, and the enduring creativity of wool. As a founding partner of the Campaign for Wool, we see the strength of working together to bring greater focus to the fibre’s performance and design potential. Merino wool is at the forefront of a shift toward high-performance fashion built on natural fibres, backed by growing global demand and industry confidence. #WoolMonth #ChooseWool #CheckitsWool

The Woolmark+ Australian Wool Insetting program is a purpose-driven, collaborative project, with ~40 Australian wool-growing families given the opportunity to enhance farm resilience and foster biodiversity, whilst reducing on-farm emissions and accelerating nature positive outcomes for the wool industry. This isn’t offsetting. It’s insetting - direct, measurable action within the wool supply chain that benefits the land, the fibre and the future. For brands committed to reducing their scope 3 emissions and building resilience, this is wool from regenerating landscapes - backed by data, and designed for impact. We’re thrilled to be working with Pollination and Landcare Australia to deliver tangible scope 3 emissions reductions and removals across the wool value chain. https://lnkd.in/gJUdn49y

Nature positive farming isn’t just a new name for regenerative agriculture. Regen ag is an essential part of the story - but it’s not the whole story. Regenerative has often referred to the on-farm practices farmers use to improve their land. And that’s an important step in building a healthier system. But it’s time to move beyond practices alone and deliver measurable outcomes. That’s what nature-positive farming is all about: tracking and verifying the real results of those efforts for biodiversity, climate, water and soil health. It means halting and reversing biodiversity loss - through measurable gains in the abundance, diversity, integrity and resilience of ecosystems and natural processes. That's why we're working with researchers, certification bodies and aligning with global frameworks to make these outcomes measurable. Because the future isn’t just about farming differently - it’s about proving it’s working. Learn more about the Woolmark+ Nature Positive Farming Framework, https://lnkd.in/gjC8ygPW
