It was great to be back in New York for ServiceNow World Forum, where I presented our spotlight session, “Data & Analytics: Agent-ready data for the Autonomous Workforce.” For AI agents to act with confidence, they need the same context your best people rely on: customer history, company policies, approval paths, and past decisions. Without that understanding, even the most impressive reasoning can amount to little more than confident guessing. Getting your enterprise data agent-ready — and keeping it that way — means connecting it, governing it, giving it meaning, and bringing insight closer to action. That’s why we’re uniting data, analytics, and workflows on the ServiceNow AI Platform, so people 𝘢𝘯𝘥 AI agents can make informed decisions and act on them, right where work happens. Evercore’s inaugural TMT Global Conference came at a timely moment, as businesses move from asking what AI agents can do to how they can act reliably at scale. A big part of that answer comes down to data. I joined Kirk Materne for a fireside chat with the investors at the conference about how ServiceNow is helping customers get their data estate AI-ready, and keep it AI-ready. I’ve been saying, on a lighter note, that the path to agentic AI heaven often goes through some form of data hell. It usually gets a laugh because the terrain is so familiar. Data is siloed. Teams don’t always know where to find it or what it means. There are multiple versions of the truth. And quality is often suspect, so the data can’t be trusted. As Kirk and I discussed, solving for that reality is what allows people 𝘢𝘯𝘥 AI agents to reason, decide, and act with confidence. It was such a pleasure and privilege to spend some time this past weekend with the endlessly inspiring Sally Kornbluth, MIT's 18th President. Sharing below a recent and timely Boston Globe op-ed, in which President Kornbluth emphasizes the importance of investment in discovery science, what she calls “curiosity on a mission,” underscoring how “shrinking the pipeline of basic discovery research means choking off the flow of future solutions, innovations, and cures—and shrinking the supply of future scientists." https://lnkd.in/gtZYGAW3 Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Chris Bedi and I had the pleasure of speaking with Victor Dey of Forbes, who thoughtfully captures the current state of enterprise AI adoption and one of its defining challenges: "AI lowers the barrier to building software — but dramatically raises the bar for operating it." A few takeaways from Victor’s analysis stood out: ➡️ Enterprise AI requires a governance layer that balances control with the speed of innovation, so organizations can scale AI agents responsibly. ➡️ “Institutional memory” is essential to agentic performance, enabled via “a system designed to encode business meaning into every AI-driven decision.” ➡️ Trusted AI depends on accessible, governed, and observable data, with a clear view of what data exists, what it means, and where it came from. ➡️ Traditional models emphasize data centralization, but ServiceNow is “advancing a different concept through zero-copy connectors and real-time integration,” reducing latency while preserving existing investments. ➡️ Most platforms excel at either data and intelligence or orchestration, but rarely both within a deeply integrated system of execution — while ServiceNow’s ecosystem strategy “centers around integrating data platforms into a centralized control plane” and remains “embedded in how work actually gets done.” The piece unpacks what it takes to operate AI agents at scale, which is exactly what ServiceNow is delivering for customers. AI Control Tower provides visibility and oversight for AI activity across the enterprise, and our Context Engine brings together knowledge, decisions, actions, and policies, giving AI agents a 360-degree view of the business. What a week at ServiceNow Knowledge 2026! From start to finish, the throughline was unmistakable: enterprise AI is moving beyond advice to governed, autonomous action. The next big question is how. Amit Zavery laid it out during his Blueprint for Agentic Business keynote, alongside customers, partners, and ServiceNow leaders. Data is foundational, and I was thrilled to take the stage to share how we're delivering the complete sensory system AI agents need to take trusted action at scale. We went deeper during the Data & Analytics Spotlight, where Derek Birdsong, Tim Gasper, and I explored how enterprises can get — and keep — their data AI-ready to power autonomous work. Huge thanks to Richard White and Alonso Jiron Mendez for joining us to share how McKinsey & Company is fueling better decisions and business outcomes with ServiceNow. Three days. Hundreds of conversations. One theme kept surfacing: the path from AI ambition to AI outcomes runs through data. At last week’s Gartner Data & Analytics Summit, I was excited to host a session on how ServiceNow is helping our customers get their data AI-ready — and KEEP it AI-ready as ambitions grow. Despite record investments in AI, research shows that enterprise AI maturity has declined 20% since last year. Fragmented, poorly governed data is a major cause. We’re solving this challenge by helping organizations connect, contextualize, and control their data so teams and AI agents have the trusted foundation they need to act with confidence. Tim Gasper brought it to life with a powerful demo of what this looks like in real-world scenarios. The week also marked an important milestone as we officially closed ServiceNow’s acquisition of Pyramid Analytics. It was a pleasure to share the stage with Omri Kohl and highlight how bringing together Pyramid’s AI-powered analytics capabilities and ServiceNow’s scale and proven workflow engine will help customers close the loop between insight and action, right in the flow of work. It was great sharing ideas with so many analysts, customers, and partners on how data will fuel the agentic era.
