New retail trend: Gentlemen prefer boxes

See publicationFor nearly three years, three Michigan men — Chris George, 33; John Haji, 30; and Paul Chambers, 36 — have been building a business in downtown Royal Oak by shipping boxes to Denney, one of about 10,000 customers in nearly 40 countries.
Their formula: Part fashion, part retail, and part advertising.
It's also part of a larger national retail trend that is booming — and built on the idea that these kinds of businesses offer customers a little surprise and a lot of convenience. -

See publicationResponding to the growing subscription services industry, a Royal Oak-based team has launched a trade association to support it. Subscription Trade Association founders Christopher George and John Haji, co-founders of Royal Oak-based The Gentleman's Box LLC, and e-commerce experts Paul Chambers and Michelle Lange officially launched the group this week at The Subscription Summit in Austin, Texas. The two-day summit is the only of its kind that targets the subscription-based industry.
