Luvak determines a wide variety of metal alloys, ceramics, composites and polymers using the following equipment and guidelines:
- Direct Current Plasma Emission (DCPES) Spectroscopy:
ASTM E1097. DCPES is a classic optical method using the Beckman Spectra Span VI, providing over 30 years of experience as a one of the most accurate testing methods available.
- Indirect Current Emission (ICPES) Spectroscopy:
ASTM E1479. ICPES is a versatile and efficient method using the SPECTRO ARCOS FHX22, providing one of the most accurate testing methods on the market today.
- Atomic Absorption (AA) Spectroscopy:
ASTM E699. Considered less prone to spectral interference, AA provides accurate detection of trace metals using the Perkin Elmer 3030B.
- Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption (GFAA) Spectroscopy: ASTM1236.
GFAA employs an electric furnace and multiple heating steps to remove interferences and isolate elements for sub-ppm determination of trace metals using the Shimadzu AA6650.
