Klim Baja S4 review 2025

Originally published on: 13 June 2025

This is the new Baja S4. It's been billed as an upgrade on its predecessor that's been around for quite a few years now, but let's get this out there from the off. There isn't a huge amount of difference between the old Baja S4 and the new one. The design of the jacket itself is basically unchanged. What Klim has done is move the panels around a little so as to make the jacket a little more comfortable, and to allow it to flow a little more air. But put it like this; if you've got the old version, there's very little reason to rush down to the shops to buy the new one.

Klim Latitude jacket review 2023

Originally published on: 09 August 2023

Klim does road suits, and what one might term ‘adventure’ suits. And in both, they have what could be called a standard offering, and a premium offering. For premium, think ‘feature laden’ perhaps. In the adventure category there’s the Badlands and then, one rung below it, the Carlsbad. In the road category, their top jacket is the Kodiak. Below it sits the Latitude.

Klim Artemis ladies jacket review

Originally published on: 24 October 2022

The Artemis is Klim’s high-end, offering for ladies. And although Klim has positioned the Artemis as an adventure suit we fail to see the basis on which it could not be considered equally appropriate for any kind of road riding or touring. In fact, we think it will work incredibly well on the road. It will be better in this role than any other Klim outfit, and indeed we cannot think of many other suits out there that can match it for versatility. New for 2022, the suit is an upgrade on its predecessor, with more venting, more abrasion resistance, more storage space and more mobility.

Halvarssons Myrvik jacket review

Originally published on: 24 October 2022

The Myrvik jacket and its matching Myrtorp pant constitute a new-for-2022 adventure suit. It will eventually replace the Mora and Malung. But let us be clear about what an adventure suit is, because there are lots of different kinds of suits out there that purport to be designed for adventure riding.

Halvarssons Naren jacket review

Originally published on: 25 August 2022

The Naren jacket and its matching Laggan pant constitute a new-for-2022 laminated suit. It will eventually replace the Vansbro/Wish combination that has been a favourite of ours for quite a few years. Like the Vansbro suit suit, the new Naren outfit has a two-layer laminated construction, which means it will never wet out in even the heaviest of downpours. Two-layer garments are just as waterproof as three-layer ones, but they tend to be more comfortable because, when you laminate a third layer to the fabric, it makes it somewhat stiffer.

What is a laminated motorcycle garment? How does it work?

Originally published on: 16 March 2022

If you’re an experienced motorcyclist who takes a keen interest in the gear you ride in you may know all about laminated membranes, how they work and what they do. And if this is the case, don’t bother reading any further. Go polish the bike or go for a ride. Because what we are going to talk about now will not be of interest. But there’s still a lot of confusion out there. And there are lots of misunderstandings about what the benefits of laminated membranes are, and what the downsides are.

Rukka Nivala 2 jacket review

Originally published on: 27 January 2022

The original Nivala suit was first launched in 2016; and it would be no exaggeration to suggest that it changed perceptions about laminated motorcycle gear. When you laminate a waterproof membrane to fabric or material you make it stiffer. You make it stiffer still if you then back the membrane with a third layer.

Stadler Treasure Pro jacket review

Here at Motolegends we often get asked who makes the best motorcycle clothing. And, of course, there’s no easy answer. Dainese does pretty stonking, one-piece leathers. Rokker make amazing jeans. Halvarssons does great value-for-money technical wear better than anybody else. Spidi does exquisite leather. And Belstaff does the best wax cotton. Whilst Klim are the boys when it comes to equipment for adventure riding.

Klim Kodiak 2 jacket review

If we are being totally honest, we would normally expect the European brands to be at the forefront when it comes to technical, motorcycle wear. But Klim is the one company that bucks this trend. Klim has most definitely become the foremost name in adventure wear, for example. They use only the very best components, such as SuperFabric, Gore-Tex, D3O, Koroyd and so on.

Cool biking outfit for under 2500 pounds 2020

Originally published on: 18 June 2020

So this is our third video about the kind of casual riding gear you can get for a given sum of money. The idea originally came out of a series of videos we did about commuting outfits, and so we’ve taken the same thinking and applied it to what one might term cool outfits.

Choosing the perfect commuting suit

Originally published on: 15 June 2020

The Coronavirus will impact on the lives of so many people in so many ways. Indeed, it has done already. Which may explain why, in recent weeks, we have had so many requests from people about commuting; people who often haven’t commuted before. And this makes sense if you want to go into work without using public transport. Recently, we’ve created a series of videos where we have recommended different commuting outfits at different price points.

Ultimate touring and commuting motorcycle outfit money no object 2020

Originally published on: 12 June 2020

This is the fourth in our series about the kind of commuting/touring outfit you can get for a given budget. Kicked off by requests from people who thought they might want to commute on a motorcycle after Lockdown, our first video worked on a budget of £1000. We then upped the ante to £1500. For the third video, we raised the budget to £2500 and, for this particular video, however, there is literally no budget; the sky’s the limit.

Richa Infinity 2 Pro Suit Review

Originally published on: 17 February 2020

We first came across the Richa Infinity 2 Pro suit when we visited Richa in Belgium in mid-2019. We can see now that they ruthlessly and cynically laid a trap for us. We had gone to talk about the UK market and to discuss our views about Richa as a brand. It was at that meeting that we discovered their amazing ‘Stripper’ commuting pants, and that we first sampled some of their new 2020 season gloves that we fell for big time.

Top 10 Best Laminated Motorcycle Jackets 2020 Video Review

Originally published on: 24 January 2020

Laminated suits are all the rage right now. And that’s because they do offer, for some, superior levels of functionality. They won’t hold water like drop-liner outfits meaning that, in heavy rain, you won’t feel as cold. And when you get off the bike, a laminated garment will dry out much faster.

Rukka Nivala video review

Originally published on: 18 November 2019

When Rukka released the Nivala onto the market a couple of years ago they kind of shot themselves in the foot. And that’s because, even though it was and still is, the most expensive outfit in their range, it was so much better than anything else they produced that the Nivala was the only Rukka suit everybody wanted to buy.

Who makes the world's best motorcycling suit?

Originally published on: 08 October 2019

Here at Motolegends we spend a lot of time telling our customers that there is no such thing as the perfect motorcycling outfit; that there is no suit that is going to work in all conditions; and that it is the kind of riding that you do that will dictate what kind of suit is going to work best for you.
