Shell Shot is one of the default moves available to Parakarry, in Paper Mario and can be performed at the cost of 3 FP. Shell Shot can be used against any foe, regardless of location.

The Action Command for Shell Shot requires the player to tilt the Control Stick to the left, and release it when the targeting cursor is lined up with the enemy, similar to Yoshi's egg toss in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and its sequel. If the player releases the stick at the wrong time, the attack will miss completely. Every enemy has a unique hitbox used for this attack as well as for Spiny Flip.

In Paper Mario: The Origami King, Shell Shot is instead referred to as Flyin' Shell Shot and is used by enemy Koopa Paratroopas.
