Saturday will start off dry and bright in many areas with sunny spells. Showers in the west will spread eastwards and become more widespread through the afternoon and evening, some heavy with a chance of hail. Breezy with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds and highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees.

Overview: Low pressure dominating the weather, bringing unsettled and mixed conditions.

Saturday night: A mostly dry and clear night with showers becoming confined to Atlantic coastal counties. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees with light to moderate winds, fresher on western and northwestern coastal areas.

Sunday: A mostly dry and bright start with any showers confined to Atlantic coastal areas. However, cloud will push into the southwest in the morning, gradually extending northeastwards to most areas by late afternoon. This will be accompanied by outbreaks of rain and drizzle, remaining driest in parts of the east and southeast. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees with moderate to fresh westerly winds, stronger on western coastal areas.

Sunday night: Wet and windy with widespread rain, heaviest over the western half of the country. Mild with lowest temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees with fresh to strong southwesterly winds.

Monday: A wet and windy day with widespread rain. The rain will be persistent and heavy at times. Highest temperatures of 13 to 15 degrees with fresh to strong southwesterly winds.

Tuesday: The forecast is currently uncertain but current indications are for a wet start, with conditions improving through the day, becoming mostly dry with some bright spells and just some scattered showers. Highest temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees with moderate to fresh westerly winds.
