WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN SUBMISSIONS
Submission Standards

As you prepare your submission, please keep in mind that articles published in The Congregationalist typically range from 500 to 1,200 words long.

The Congregationalist does not take political, ideological, or creedal stances. Therefore, we ask that authors navigating topics entwined with creed, ideology, and politics avoid making universal statements and make clear that they are representing their personal experiences and perspectives alone.

Editorial Guidelines

The Congregationalist accepts contributions of articles, poetry, book reviews, photography, artwork, music pieces, and more. Submissions related to an issue’s theme are prioritized for publication.

An edition’s theme is intended to act as a loose guideline and be interpreted in creative ways. You may choose to use a theme as the central object of your submission, but you may also choose to incorporate it into your work in subtle ways. We value the variation.

Advertise
