​Nets shared the findings of its preliminary analysis of the operational disruption that affected card payments in Nordics on 21 May. The analysis indicate that the incident was triggered by a network connectivity issue affecting the payment processing environment, which subsequently led to an overload situation and prolonged the recovery process.

​A rare component failure prevented Nets from instantly switching to its redundant card platform on Saturday evening. Measures are now being implemented to prevent a similar incident from recurring, and an expanded offline procedure will ensure that even brief outages do not disrupt payment flows.

​The Danish private equity firm, CataCap, has signed an agreement to acquire e-Boks from its two owners, Nets and PostNord.

​Nexi will simplify the organisation by combining the two merchant serving business areas and further empower the regional management to strengthen local cross-business collaboration. Torsten Hagen Jørgensen has decided to leave the company, and Christian Segersven takes over as Chief Business Officer for Issuing Solutions in Nordics.​
