Food was surprisingly good for airplane, crew was great, though announcements were sometimes hard to hear. Plane was nice (had great headroom, large screens and big dimmable windows). But seats were uncomfortable in economy (seat width was fine, but not enough shoulder room). I wish I could use my person Bluetooth headphones with screen( I think I could mirror it on my device, but didn’t want to keep tray table down to hold it up).

I am a US citizen coming from Uganda to IST to LAX I was to be rerouted to Houston for Ebola health screen at no extra charge per TA app. At IST Turkish counter 4, they refused to reroute me to Houston unless I paid $1000. Finally, they said they would route me to Houston at no charge but not to LAX. SO I PUT OUT AN EXTRA $300 for Delta to LAX. IF THE US HAS A MANDATORY HEALTH SCREEN, THE AIRLINE NEEDS TO COMPENSATE THE PASSENGER NO EXTRA CHARGE TO FINAL DESTINATION

Be honest of what you sell: This was sold as Business Class on all three legs, while the JetBlue plane didn't even have business class seats, and wanted $164 for extra legroom seats.

This flight was in the air when the national power outage happened on 28 April 2025 in Spain and Portugal. As a result Lisbon airport was closed and the flight was diverted to Porto. There were no phones, internet or ATMs working and the Turkish Airlines ground crew in Porto were trying to find alternative transport to Lisbon (by bus). This did not materialise until late in the evening. The Turkish Airlines ground crew suggested that passengers may find their own way of getting to Lisbon. That in itself is a failure of Turkish Airlines, but understandable as there were no means of communication. The Turkish Airlines ground crew also said that any expenses insured for travel to Lisbon will be refunded by the Airline through their website. Unfortunately, I could find no way to travel back to Lisbon other than to hitch hike with an Uber driver. Because no systems were available and no credit card payment possible I paid the driver 140 Euros in cash with no receipt as systems were down. I arrived at my Lisbon hotel at 23:30 (flight was scheduled to land at 12:30). Upon contacting Turkish Airlines for compensation they are not willing to do anything as I do not have an invoice for my expenses. They do not even consider the 10 hours of delay and inactivity on their part as a reason to provide any sort of curtesy towards me. I find their behaviour appalling.

boarding from the lagos airport is always very chaotic. The seats on the place are not comfortable (old planes are always used on this route) and the screen chargers for my phone are both not working (both seats).

Not a good experience from Lagos was very terrible paying for one extra bag is #403,600 in dollars is $331 which is too high and when get to Ny I don’t receive my bag till 2nd day some of my stuff was damaged am not really happy with Turkish Airlines very poor services.

Leaving on time would have been a good start . Sat in plane while they cleaned around us . We got to Turkey raced to our next flight to see plane sitting at the gate 5 minutes before departure time to be told “ plane is gone “ while obviously it wasn’t . Showed them time on my phone before departure. Then “ gate is closed “ . Then he said “Instead of talking to me you need to go talk to someone else to get another flight “ . We booked business class no service waited in line to have to rebook same flight day later. Offered hotel room but wait for a bus to heard us to what I’m sure would have been cheap hotel. Opted for private cab and decent hotel at our own expense. Bad service at ever turn . NEVER TURKISH AIRLINES AGAIN !

The lines to check in both at LAX and coming home from Cairo were ridiculous. Close to 2 hr to check in. I had pre-checked at LAX so I was able to get into a shorter line but it was still over 45 minute wait. In Cairo the travel agent with us was able to get us in the Business Class line but that was over an hour wait. Then in Cairo the plane was delayed over an hour. Missed the connecting flight. The airline gave us a food voucher for a few US chain fast food restaurants and the items that could be ordered we limited to only 2. Had to wait 4-5hrs for the next flight. I get that flights get delayed and its not really anyone's "fault" but the airline has an opportunity to demonstrate that they realize that this is a real inconvenience and step it up a bit.
