Jot down anything that's on your mind with this private, security-focused solution for note-taking that provides a modern approach
Consciously or not, taking notes is something we all do. Jotting down a quick recipe, a show name, or something that’s on your mind is done largely digitally these days, so having a well-rounded, dedicated utility in that sense can provide a lot of value. SNOQ is a note-taking app with a focus on privacy, rich text formatting capabilities, and a modern design that’s easy to acclimate to.
This is quite apparent even after spending just a bit of time with the app, such that you can begin to jot down anything of note right away.
Offline-only notes
If you’ve gotten used to online, cloud-synced notes, then this approach may give you a bit of a whiplash. It is for good reason, however, as the contents on your notes never leave your device and are encrypted with a password for added security.
I would have liked to see an extension of this principle by locking individual notes with a password, so if someone were to somehow access your vault, certain notes would require additional verification.
Plenty of options for text formatting
More is always better when it comes to text formatting, and thankfully there are enough options to go around here. You can thus structure your text just as you like by using different headings, bolding and italicizing words or entire passages, creating bullet or numbered lists, and so on. There’s also quite a selection of fonts to choose from.
I also liked that the app includes a search function to look up certain words or phrases within a specific note. A good quality of life improvement would be a global search, whereby the software would return any relevant results from all your notes at once.
I should also mention the tabbed UI, which makes working with multiple notepads much easier. You can essentially switch between multiple different notes for viewing or editing thanks to it, making this a quite thoughtful addition if you like to multi-task.
