I recently acquired the Altenew watercolor brush pens and wanted a new and easier storage solution for them. These looked perfect! However, I apparently didn't check dimensions first as the brush pens are too tall for these containers. They do fit the height of standard markers and pens no problem so if that's what you're looking to store, these will work out very well for you. I was hoping there was going to be an insert divider to house each writing utensil in to keep things in color order but these containers do not have anything like that... thus the -1 star. They are just tall, empty containers with a flip top lid. I find the lid opens and closes easily as well. Overall, these containers appear to be well made. While I can't use them for my original intention, I'll be able to find something else. Just be sure to check these will work for the height of your writing/drawing utensil if they are a bit longer than usual! Again, the container will fit your standard pen and pencil just fine.
Images and description does not mention a grid but assumed due to the 24 case has one that the small one would too. NOPE! In my case I had planned on that. Meantime it's just an 1/8th of an inch too big for my drawer I had planned to store these in. Not the fault of the item they provide the right sizes. I wish I had bought 2 more of the larger 24 size case instead of just 3 and 3 of these. I happened to have a 3 set of water ink pens that are 12 per color set & thought the smaller 12 box would be prefect. Missing the grid they are not as good as the 24? A 36 then would have maybe worked for putting all 3 dozen sets together. I'll find other pens/pencils to use in the smaller ones but really I find the clear horizontal boxes I was hoping to replace far more useful than these small boxes that aren't the best at staying upright when in use. ???? Do I recommend..yes & no is really the answer as it depends on what the game end is for the buyer. I like the 24 box with grid much better and more stable standing when pens are pulled out & the grid definitely keeps the larger pens separated. Note either box without the insert can be useful for odd shaped markers and pens which could be ideal & include white board markers & similar tools. How about clay carving tools and wax seal tools in the smaller boxes too. Useful but know the plan before buying perhaps.
Nicely made to hold my rainbow set of 7 glitter brushes along with some clear and an extra set of greens for a total of 12.
It is small but sturdy, perfect for grabbing your glitter all in one place.
This was way to short l could really not find any pens, paint pens etc. that would fit in them. It was a waste of money.
