Common Factors of a Polynomial Algebra tiles can be used to represent the multiplication of polynomials by creating groups or a rectangle which
has the given dimensions. The resulting area can be found by grouping like terms. To model 3 (2x + 1) you can show 3 groups of (2x + 1) or a larger rectangle that has dimensions 3 by (2x + 1).
It is not always possible to show groups of a polynomial. For example, when given 2x (2x + 1) you cannot show 2x groups of (2x + 1). But you can still use Algebra tiles to show a larger rectangle that has dimensions 2x by (2x + 1).
