Types of Triangles

Equilateral All the sides are the same length All the angles are the same measurement

Isosceles Two sides of the triangle are of equal length Angles opposite the equal sides are of equal measurement

Scalene None of the triangle sides are of equal length (they are all different lengths) Angles are all of different measurements Right Angled One of the three angles equals 90 The side opposite of the right angle is the hypotenuse, which is the longest side of the triangle

Acute Angled All three angles in the triangle are less than 90

Obtuse Angled One of the angles in the triangle is more than 90 The longest side of the triangle is opposite the obtuse angle
