2009 and May 7, 2010, respectively.
- Organize cultural events for Black History Month and Latino Heritage Month
- Plan academic activities with students and faculty such as informal workshops and networking
events.
Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (OMSA)
- Organized a 2-week graduate prep program for undergraduate students interested in applying to
different post-undergraduate programs. As organizer, I contacted graduate and professional students
across campus to discuss application procedures in a panel, the first week. During the second week of
sessions, undergraduate students where handed a folder which contained information about the specific
program they were interested in applying to and then grouped with the particular graduate/professional
student in their field. These one-on-one sessions allowed students to ask specific questions about life in
the program, applications, funding, etc.
