1 Features of PMT-192
• TNC • Wireless remote control is unnecessary because it is integrated with the
radio.
• There are two modes: FSK. GMSK (G3RUH connectable).
• VCO • Modulation is stable due to simultaneous conversion of crystal.
• 19200B (GMSK) operation is possible.
• The receiving filter is equipped with a wide (19200 B) / narrow (9600 B or less)
changeover.
• Volume • Squelch control is done with push switch (electronic volume
adoption).
• It can be operated as a normal radio wave by using an external microphone.
• Levitator operation is also possible.
The frequency, tone and offset frequency of the radio can be set from the
terminal (personal computer etc.).
8 waves of tone frequency OFF / 82.5 / 85.4 / 88.5 / 91.5 / 94.8 / 97.4 / 100.0
/ 103.5 Hz
Offset frequency 0 to ± 9.99 MHz
• Transmission output of the radio can be switched.

3 Handling Precautions
• In the following cases, fire or malfunction may occur, so stop
using it immediately, disconnect the power s ource of this machine
and unplug the power supply plug from the AC outlet.

(1) In the event that the smoke from the main unit and the power
supply unit is off while the unit is in use

If there is a lightning strike nearby (Please do not disconnect

the antenna cable from this unit when it is in a lightning storm.)
Since the thunder has started to sound, there is a fear of
feeling, so it approaches this machine Please be careful not to
touch your hands.)

(1) In case of dropping this machine or giving a str ong impact

(1) When the fuse blows while using the machine

• Avoid using it in the following places.

- Places with high vibration and instability

(1) Outdoor places with high humidity and dust

A place where high temperature or direct sunlight is hit

In order to avoid the maritime confusion caused by Noise, please

use as far away as possible from personal computer • AV equipment
(TV • radio etc).
, • Do not disassemble.

(1) Since this unit uses many precision parts, please do not give
equilibrium, vi bration, etc. Also please do not touch or modify
parts other than the internal jumper switching.

• Power supply (Fire or malfunction may occur, so please be

careful enough

Well. )
Operation of single screw * The voltage is 12 VDC to 13.8 V. Do
not invert +/- by applying a voltage exceeding the source voltage
box.

(1) Use a power supply with a current capacity of 8 A (PMT - 192

H) or 5 A (PMT - 192 L) or more.

100 MHz range.)

1 FREQ was 3300 (previous setting value)

- cmd: FREQ <Enter>

It was set to 1 FREQ 3500 and set to 435.00 MHz.

• Communication speed (baud rate) setting with other

station (for example, set to 9600 B.)

There are 4 kinds of baud rate.

1200 B FSK
4800 B GMSK
9600 B GMSK
19200 B GMSK

-cmd: HB 9600 <Enter>

- HBAUD was 1200 (previous designation)

- cmd: HB <Enter>

- HBAUD 9600 is displayed and set to 960 BOB. (Set the same communication
speed as the other station.)

• Setting up the local callsign

Enter it as follows. (OOO is the local callsign.)

-cmd: MY 000000 <Enter>

-MYCALL was NOCALL
For confirmation, enter as follows.

- cmd: MY <Enter>
- MYCALL 000000 is displayed and the local callsign has been set.

• Connect with the remote station

Enter it as follows. (XXXXXX is the partner station call sign.)

-cmd: C XXXXXX <Enter>

If it is displayed as 1 *** CONNECTED to XXXXXX, it was able to connect with the

opposite station.

Characters entered from the terminal after this are sent to the remote station by
pressing <Enter>. Also, when a reply comes from the other station, it is displayed in
the dis- play.

• When connection could not be made

- *** retry count exceeded

- *** DISCONNECTED

If connect operation is specified and it is not connected even if it is performed for fe

times, this reconnection operation which is displayed is canceled. (Initial value
repeats connect operation 10 times.)

- *** XXXXXX busy.

- *** DISCONNECTED
If the remote station is connecting to another station or is set to reject connect,
this is displayed and the connection operation is canceled.
• Disconnect from the other station
First send a break or CTRL-C and set it to cmd: (command mode). (For
DXTERM, press <F10>.) Enter as follows.
- cmd: D <Enter>
If I *** DISCONNECTED is displayed, the connection with the other station has
expired.
• Use a digitor (use arbitrary stations as relay stations to communicate with
remote stations)
Enter it as follows. (XXXXXX is the counter station's counterpart, and ****** is
the relay station callsign.)
- cmd: C XXXXXX V ****** <Enter>
I *** CONNECTED to XXXXXX via ****** If it is displayed, it was able to
connect with the remote station via the relay station.
(Up to 8 stations can be entered by separating relay station call signs with a
comma and can be relayed in the order in which they are entered.)
1 cmd: C XXXXXX V ******, ****** ,,,,,, ****** <enter>
When disconnecting, please refer to the above (disconnect with the other
party).
• Use the repeater
In the command mode, make the following settings.
FREQ XXXX <Enter> (Levitator frequency to use)
TONE 3 <Enter> (when the tone frequency is 88.5 Hz)
OFFSET -500 <Enter> (place of off set frequency -5 MHz)
AXD 120 <Enter>
You can now communicate by relaying the repeater.
For details of the command, please see the attached command list (contained in the
floppy disk).
If you are not using the repeater, make the following settings.

FREQ XXXX <Enter> (frequency to be used normally)

TONE 0 <Enter>
OFFSET 0 <Enter>
AXD 0 <Enter>
• Decompression of image data downloaded from RBBS etc. (after the compressed data)

The data of the image is generally shrunk by the pressure decompressing program LHA,
and further textualized by the text making program ISH is uploaded to the RBBS as an
image file.

It is converted to text by ISH and the fe file has the following character string
(header) at the beginning. (This header is an example.)

Make the data downloaded from the RBBS a file. (We will do it while the data received from the
RBBS is displayed on the screen.)

Include one or more headers and take them to the end. (It is taken from the header
of the header, but it recognizes the line after the header as an image.)
