Introduction:

Student life is the most crucial period in the life of a person. The most important
things in student life are discipline and punctuality without discipline. Becoming a
student will be a major life change, especially if you have family commitments, or you
have been working full-time. You may be leaving your completely, or reducing down to
part time hours.

It is important that you take time to carefully think about and plan how you will
manage these changes. Planning and preparation are essentials to make sure that you
embark upon your studies with a clear plan, and that you have the sufficient knowledge
to become competitive and successful.

Rationale:

On-The-Job-Training or OJT is job training that occurs in the work place. It is a

method of teaching the skills, knowledge, and competencies needed for employees to
perform a specific job within the work place. It has many advantages, but it can also
have a few disadvantages if the OJT is not planned and executed properly. It is part of
a college curriculum that aims to train and orient students about the work and their
future career. It is very important not only to teach students their chosen career but to
show students the reality about working.

Objectives:

To broaden the student's horizon and global cultural awareness through interaction
with the proffesional experts.
To provide an opportunity to the students to identify and exploit the internship viability
being provided by the place being assigned.

Summary and Content

July 10, 2018 is the day on my On the Job Trainee "In" at the department of Basic
Education. At first i was excited because finally i can experienced work while studying, i
thought its easy but i was wrong. The struggle is real because i cannot concentrate my
study because you have responsibility in the office. That time, i had no time to study
and was worried about my grades, i couldnt stop to overthink, thinking the negative
thoughts.

On my first week in the office, it was doing smoothly with the guidance of the
secretary Ma'am Ruby. She taught us well to do our respective job and give us
information about the different files. There are three trainees assigned in the office, one
marketing student and two financial including me. All we did was re-arranging the files
of almost 1000 students because at the time they are updating the new files. Everyday
we were busy sometimes we forgot the time that was already done. I experienced also
to update the students file in the internet and to enroll the students in their scholarship
program. Thats my daily routine in the office updating files, encoding, making clearance
of the students, and sometimes counting money and deposit it into the bank.

Month after, i embraced my job the negative thought was vanish and replaced it to
possitive one. I was thankful to Ma'am Ruby for the guidance and to Sir Jessy our boss
and to all the friendly teachers in the Basic education. It really indeed my 300 hours
OJT with lots of good memories eventhough we're everyday busy in the office but we
can managed to smile because they said just enjoy your life.

Learnings
On-the-Job Training is important because it entails benefits that could give trainees
invaluable assets for achieving gainful employment. The training provides students the
opportunity to accurate sufficient knowledge and skills relevant to work habits
necessary to become competitive in the labor market.

Conclusion

I conclude that On-The-Job Training is important because it will give you a sense of
confidence that you can use when applying for a job after graduation. It helps
individuals make informed career choices.

Recommendation

On-The-Job Training is important because it can give an effective learning and can also
acquaint the students formally to a real life work place environment. It enables students
to understand and respond better to the market demand.
