Medicare Vs

Medicare provides health insurance for adults over 65 and people with disabilities, funded by Social Security taxes and is controlled by the federal government. It does not cover long term care. Medicaid covers low-income individuals including children, pregnant women, parents and people with disabilities, funded jointly by federal and state governments and controlled by states within federal guidelines. It was expanded under the ACA and does cover long term care.
