Design and Establishment of New UN China Website
1. Background
  The United Nations is a global network, advocating for change and connecting
  countries to knowledge, experience and resources that help people build better
  lives. In China, the UN draws on a world of experience to assist China in
  developing solutions to its own development challenges.
  The United Nations System in China has a respective websites maintained in
  UNDP China Office, to publish a wide range of communications and promotional
  materials (such as event coverage, press releases, speeches, annual reports, research
  papers, brochures), to facilitate its work, promote its activities and share
  information with its staff members, partners and the general public.
2. Scope of service
    Assess the current UN China website structure and contents for ease of
     accessibility, quality of contents, user-friendliness, ease of maintenance/update,
     information retrieval, etc…
    Access UN HQ & Country Office’s websites for reference, applying the
     advantages of layout design, navigation, usability & etc. to the redesign &
     implementation.
    Make proposal for design of the website based on corporate guidelines and/or
     UNDP country office website guidelines for Management's review and approval.
    Design the website structure, taking into account the requirements from UN RC
     office: clear catalogs & folders for data & page storage, attractive site & page
     layout, easy to use, update and maintain, flexible navigation & search function;
     counting function for web pages visited, etc.
    Gather informative contents for the Web presence (text, documents, pictures, key
     speeches, etc.) from UN RC office.
    Create HTML documents and graphics for implementation in the Web.
    Make recommendations for backup/restore plan.
    Training to UN RC staff on website maintenance and content update.
    Design and establish anti-hacker and antivirus plan for the website.
    Website hosting service for 2013, 2014 and 2015.
    Warranty and maintenance service (5X8X4) for 2013, 2014 and 2015.
    Make recommendations for software, hardware, and other back-end applications
     related to Web development.
3. Basic structure of the UN China website
3.1 Both English and Chinese versions are required
3.2 Following estimated structure of the UN China website in single language:
   (i)      Home page
   (ii)     Static pages: 20-30
   (iii)    Dynamic Pages: 4
        News channel: 1 and updates per year: 150
        Jobs channel: 1 and updates per year: 50
        Publication channel: 1 and updates per year: 50
        Procurement channel: 1 and updates per year: 50
        Estimate grow rate of storage space: 300-350MB per year (in single language)

        Photo and Video gallery ( optional)
        Automatic homepage recover (optional)
   (v)      CMS with remote administration
4. Objectives/expected results
    Design and establish a new UN China website to match request from UN RC
     office in China.
5. Duration/Timeframe
    It is expected to 30 to 45 working days
6. Qualifications/selecting criteria
     Contractor must be a legal entity registered in China
     Contractor must be a reputable company with prior rich experience in the field
     Proven and solid knowledge and experience in providing similar service to
      international organizations
     Able to provide user training and all documents in English
     Solid knowledge on website security and website hosting service
     The Vendor should provide an proposal include a brief implementation plan
     The vendor should provide the quotation include below information:
              Website design and setup.
              Website hosting for 2013,2014 and 2015
              Related software license
              Quotation of maintenance service, with 3 years 5*8*4 SLA
