INTRODUCTION
About the Project
Now a day’s computers have become a very crucial part of everyone’s life. Without
computers it has become very difficult to cope with real world activities. Many industries,
business and financial firms have already finished the computerization of
their work. But many others not yet started computerization. The project entitled “Supply
Chain Management” is software developed for computerizing the functions of production,
transportation and delivery of the required services to customers. It provides all databases
such as company details, distributor details, etc. The implementation of this project would
gives lots of benefits as there would be less manual work, more computerized working,
resulting in faster and accurate response.
VISION AND MISSION: Customers’ satisfaction is our prime motto. Contentment of all
the clients enables us to serve better and create a long term relationship with all the
customers.
Problem Definition
Currently in the supply chain management, the details and bill generation are performed
manually. Hence it generates many serious problems and lose of data. The problems are:
Modifications or updating are tedious.
Record keeping registers is done manually.
Reports are maintained on paper.
Slow access of data.
High chance for errors.
Lose of data.
But the proposed system overcomes all these disadvantages.
The aim of our project can be categorized as follows:
Offers maximized selling opportunities, customer Information, Buying Patterns,
Product Tracking, Order History
Integrate distributors, resellers, company and warehouse into a concentric
environment.
The project is divided into 5 modules.

3. SYSTEM ANALYSIS
System analysis is a task that bridges the gap between system level requirements and
system design. It is the first phase in the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle), which
is a problem solving technique that decomposes a system into its components for the
purpose of studying how well those components will work effectively and interact to
accomplish the purpose. The main aspects of the analysis phase are defining the constraints
and what must be done to solve the problem. It includes various sub phases.
The fact finding or gathering is essential for the analysis of requirements. The first is
determination of requirements. In this phase, the system analyst conduct interview with the
user to determine what the users want from the proposed system rather than how it can be
implemented. Next the analyst studies and structures the requirements according to their
interrelationships and eliminates redundancy. The third, system analyst generates the
alternative initial to match the requirements. The output of this phase is description of the
alternative solution recommended by the analyst team.
