GUIDELINES IN TAKING THE QUALIFYING EXAMINATION

THIS COMING MAY 22-24,2019

1. The Qualifying examination is a diagnostic examination for you to proceed to the next
year level. It is also a simulation of the CPA Licensure Examination thus, the rules to be
applied will be the same except for one rule.

2. In this examination, you can still use the SCIENTIFIC CALCULATOR as opposed to
the current licensure examination wherein they use BASIC CALCULATOR.

3. Bring two (2) mongol no. 2 pencils. The extra pencil is just in case, the other pencil is
broken. Much better if you can bring a sharpener.

4. Bring a black/blue ballpen. It will be used for shading your answers and filling-out your
answer sheets.

5. Wear WHITE T-SHIRTS/POLO SHIRTS during the qualifying exam. The proctor has
all the right to not let you take the exam if you are not wearing the prescribed attire.

6. Cellphones should be turned to silent mode and put in your respective bags. Ringing
cellphones inside your pockets is CONSTRUED AS CHEATING.

7. Please come to your respective rooms, 30 – 15 minutes before the exam. There will be
no extension of time if you arrive late.

8. Cheating is unlawful,immoral and unethical in the CPA licensure examination. If you


are caught doing so, you will not only fail in the qualifying exam but will also receive
sanctions from the program.

9. Bringing food is allowed but after the exam, please bring the trash with you.

10. Follow further rules to be discussed by your proctor.

11. While examination is ongoing, you are not allowed to go to the rest room. You can only
do so, before and after taking the examination. If you feel sick, get the attention of the
proctor.

12. After the exam, submit the test questionnaire with your answer sheet and leave the room
quietly. Do not disturb others who are still taking the exam.
