Abstract
Currently, there is wide interest in automatic music composition algorithms which can help musicians
to compose their original tunes. Although considerable research has been done on automatic music
composition, there are some lacunas on composing melodies from lyrics, melody is a sequence of
notes in major and minor scale and various queries arises like (1) what information in the lyrics
should be exploited for generating a song and (2) which physical characteristic of music has to be
used to compose original piece of melodies from lyrics. The use of AI for music consists of the
application of AI techniques as the main tools for the composition of the original piece of melody.
There are several models of AI used in automatic music composition such as Dynamic Programming,
Neural Networks, and Genetic algorithm.
The performance measure is the main problems of the automatic music composition process. Human
evaluation is the most common technique that is still under research. The generative models which
uses Evolutionary algorithm are also in development with noticeable issues such as termination
criteria, how to select an initial population and how to optimize solution using game theory model.
The drawback of neural melody composition is that it cannot deal with the emotion and the style of
lyrics to compose the melody. The issues associated with ALYSIA is that background track has to be
provided by the user, lyrics provided in sentence form and only one instrument that is synthesizer is
used for the formation of music composition.
The Proposed system will make use of different AI techniques to solve the problem associated with
previous work. The motivation behind the proposed system is to help musician or composer to
provide multiple options for single lyrics.
