     DISCUSSION OF FINDINGS
     Observation
These are the following observation I have observed during my stay in
     DIREC:
     1. Employees in DIREC are not fond of overtime.
     2. When employees are having overtime the company provides their
         dinner.
     3. The company is strict in terms of time specially during morning.
     4. For Mondays, the employees wear their uniform, the rest of the days
they can wear anything except tshirts(round, vneck), slippers and
         flat sandals.
     5. Different heads have their different personality and management
         styles.
     6. Managers are very hardworking, they value time very much. They tend
to give you task if you are free and look for themselves too.
     7. Pantry is open for all emmployees, you may get biscuits, candies,
coffee or any food you want for free.
     Best Practices
The best practices that I like is they let us, interns, to be
comfortable in our stay. They don’t want to intimidate us to learn
while enjoying the task given. Also managers and heads are always
complimenting us even its only a small task we did or completed. The
staffs also always give their gratitude whenever they let us do some
petty tasks. I can also see teamwork and cooperation between the
employees because whenever one ask for ideas everyone participate in
sharing. How they put smile on their faces is what I like the most
because its gives me assurance that I can always talk, ask or count
on them. I also love how they give importance to the special days of
everyone, they always give time in surprising their co- workers who

     Weekly Experiences
     May 21- 25, 2018
During our first day before we will be officialy interns in our
company the HR admin, Ms.Claud gave us exam and interview, then she
oriented us to wait for their text and call for the instructions. Our
second day is our official start in DIREC.
I was assigned to IT Sales department and my head was Ms. Jelli
Arcano She taught me how to do call outs and how to search commpany
leads. Since our company is planning to conduct seminar on LIIP all I
did was to call, talk to the IT department then tell them our
concerns. But because they are only few companies who seem interested
on the seminar the management decided to cancel the event. They asked
me to proceed calling CPIP and FCIE leads and continue to search
     companies around this business parks.
I was also asked to do searching for industrial parks and economic
zones to be a prospect place to conduct our events. I also added
contact numbers for the additional business parks.
     May 28-June 2,2018
For this week, my head was out of the office to meet some clients so
I’ve been handled by another staff. It’s been pressuring since ma’am
Jacq seems to be more serious person. So I did my call outs and
continue my task up to 5pm; onwards, I searched for companies.
For this week I was appreciated by ma’am Jacq for doing my call outs
and its really been fulfilling. I also did my marketing collaterals
and supplies. Here I called for suppliers to ask them if they are
making this and that, then I submit my lists of suppliers to maam
     Jacq.

I started calling FCIE Extension, then I also find contact numbers to
those who have remarks “find another contact number”. I also look for
business parks in the south and north to be a prospect venue of our
event.I was given my own cellphone in the company to be used for my
call outs. My head ask me to stop calling FCIE because we have
reached our quotas for attendees. She then gave me another dta base,
CPIP, which will be my task again. I call the companies under this
     business park again and again.
     June 11- 14,2018
I asked Ms. Jelli if I will call but she said I will have another
data base. Then Ma’am Jacq gave me the data base for provincial lead
hunt Subic. I called for the companies in the Subic data base then
I’ve also searched for more companies to asked for their IT, ask them
for our event then sent them invitations. After calling them to ask
for their details I followed up those who are interested to join our
     event.
     June 18- June 22,2018
After long weekend it’s time to go back to do the things we let
behind. For Monday I just had call outs for Subic and find companies,
Tuesday, I again find companies then fixed our data base to make it
organized. I put some colors to classify some of the remarks to the
companies, for Wednesday, my head was out because they have event in
FCIE, the business park I have been calling.
For the following days I just continue to call Subic companies and
     follow them up.
     June 25- 29, 2018
My head is out and also Maa’m Jacq so I did the usual things, call
the provincial lead hunt to ask for details and follow up them.
I also did quality checks for the jackets delivered. We have checked
the jackets’ appearance and labeled them as to their sizes. For the

     again for calling.
     July 2-6, 2018
I called the Provincial lead hunt, same routine and sometimes its
getting boring. I also photoshopped the certificates and ID of the
Subic attendees. I did checking to know if all the initial attendees
have their certificates and ID already. I did some scanning t our
data base to check also those companies who haven’t yet received our
invitation and those scheduled for follow ups.
I also called the attendees to confirm their attendance on seminar,
so far for this week we are almost reaching our quotas, 33 individual
     attendees and 20 companies.
     July 9-13, 2018
I called for follow ups at Subic but since the companies I’m calling
are only few, I also did sales to Sophos leads. I asked for the
company’s IT then ask them if they have requirements and introduced
our products were that offering. They also gave me another work, to
call companies from Laguna and to invite them because we will conduct
     Back up and Security seminar.
Follow up for Subic companies, calling Sophos leads to ask if they
have requirements then invite the LISH those were my routine for this
     week.
     July 16- 20 2018
I did my call out, asked for their It and introduced our products.
After calling I also find leads. Tuesday, since its one day before
the event in Subic, i’ts really been busy for us. I helped in
preparing materials like cutting for stickers and putting it on our
equipment. I also went out to buy some things they will be needed for
tomorrow’s event. Since my heads are out I continued doing sales then
transferring some details to another data base.

This is our last week being an intern, so like the rest of the weeks
I did sales, asked for their requirements, I was so happy for this
week because I did find companies who have requirements then
scheduled them for a meeting. For our last day in our company the HR
head talked to us about our learnings and our hardships. She talks
dearly and said we are always welcome to DIREC. In the evening they
treated us dinner and desserts together with the staffs. Its been sad
that we will part ways with DIREC but I will always remember the
learnings they taught and willtreasures the memories we shared.

     Observation
The following are my observations during my stay in Cooperative Bank

1.The board of Director is strict in the implementative of the rules
and regulations circulating in the operation of the Banks.

     6. The institution is very accommodating.
     Best Practices
The best practices I have seen in Cooperative Bank of Cagayan is that
they are living and working according of the mission and vision of
the company. They ensure that they are bringing the best practices in
their field of operations. They are very accommodating to their
clients and helps them give the easy way in providing lendings to
their clients. Also they are practicing the recycling, where they
still use used paper to reduce waste. The CBC is approachable and
very welcoming, they always want the best for their trainees and want
to teach us as many knowledge and trained us as better as possible.

     RECOMMENDATION
On- the- Job Training is indeed vital and necessary to students
because the program expands the students’ knowledge as it helps the
student to explore their skills in the actual work area. OJT is the
launching step to a students’ knowledge in actual working experience.
The trainee can practice applying the lessons learned from the years
of formal education and discovers that there are still a lot more to
learn from the actual working field.
Moreover, OJT serves as a source of man power for enterprise by
having the privilege of hiring students that are fresh- minded,
     intellectually updated, goal oriented.
OJT serves best by exposing the students to potential employers and
the possibility of being hired depending on the needs of the company
and in terms with the trainees’ performance as well.
With these, I recommend that this program, On the Job Traning should
continue with more broader scope specially to business students. The
institution should also choose more suitable companies when deploying
trainees. And also I recommend the institution to build more or have
more stronger relationship with their affiliating companies for the
     future purposes.
