The name of the tradition or ceremony is the wedding anniversary

WHEN & WHERE

For generations it has happened in Peru and in other countries. It is always celebrated when an
exact number of years is fulfilled from the day of the wedding.

HISTORY

It began in Germany, in which if a married couple managed to celebrate the 25th anniversary
of their wedding, to congratulate them for the good fortune of having prolonged the life of a
couple for so many years.

These anniversaries were since then known as the silver wedding and the golden wedding day
respectively.

WHAT HAPPENS AND WHO IS THERE

Generally the anniversaries are celebrated in private, except for anniversaries 25, 50 and 75,
where a party is held with guests, the party is organized by close friends, relatives and the
same couple. They provide, have fun and give gifts for the couple.

IT IS CHANGING?

No, but every year bigger and surprising ideas are prepared for the happy couple.
