 Recognize the time in minutes including a.m. and p.m. using analog and digital clock. Read and
write time.

II. Subject Matter

Topic: Tell the Time
Reference: Mathematics 2 (Kagamitan ng mag-aaral, Bikol) page 246-251
Materials: Pictures, Visual Aid, and Improvised Clock

III. Procedure
A. Drill
Let the pupils skip count by five’s and ten’s
Then, give the series below and let them write the missing number in the blank line (board work).
5, 10, ___, 20, ____, 30, ___, ___, 45, ___, ___, 60

tells the minutes.

Seconds is the smallest part of the clock.

60 seconds = 1 minute

24 hours = 1 day

 We have two kinds of clock. The digital and analog clock. Which is the digital clock? Which is the analog
clock?

Analog Clock Digital Clock

 Digital clock indicates the exact time in numeric display. Analog clock the time is represented by hands
that spin around.

A.M. means Ante-meridian and used to tell the
