Globe contractors installing new connection lines in Vida Doria and Simonette Delos Reyes Streets caused electrical lines and transformers to explode, damaging homes and properties and causing a 10-hour power outage. An engineer who has worked in the field for decades noticed the contractors were not following safety protocols. Residents also claimed the contractors were laughing as the situation escalated dangerously. The residents will not allow the unprofessional contractors to continue working in the area without close supervision to ensure such a horrific incident does not happen again.

BFRV, Las Pinas City

To whom it may concern:

Good day!

In behalf of the residents of Vida Doria and Simonette Delos Reyes Streets, I am writing
to complain about the incident that happened last October 12, 2017. Globe contractors
and linemen were installing new connection lines along the mentioned streets when
electrical lines and transformers started to explode and created damages to homes and
properties of some residents. In addition to that, it caused power outage for almost 10
hours.

Being in the field for several decades for several decades, I noticed that these men
were not following standard and safety protocols when doing such risky task.
Professional and methodical approaches should be highly prioritized which these men
obviously failed to do. To make things worse, residents claimed and witnessed that
these men were laughing as the incident escalated to dangerous levels.

The houses, investments and properties that we live in are products of blood, sweat,
tears and years of labor. Losing all these because of negligence is an unacceptable
thing.

We, the residents, decided not to allow these unprofessional men contractors to
continue their work in our street unless they are under close professional supervision
from licensed personnel. We should also be assured that the horrific incident will
NEVER happened again.

Sincerely yours,

ENGR. WILLIE ROSALES
