Movie Review Writing
TITLE: “Black Panther”
Directed by Ryan Coogler and Joe Roebart Cole
Well this movie is an inspiring and historic for a superhero movie to be comprised of an
all-black cast. Black Panther’s” story from being just about the same as every other Marvel title.
The first three-quarters of the film is virtually indistinguishable from the rest of the origin
pictures, built up from nonsensical and generating motives and purposes and conduct with broad
strokes. It’s no more or less creative than its numerous companion pieces; it still relies heavily
on random powers, and the kind of luck found in nearly every larger-than-life fantasy adventure.
It all begins with a meteorite that struck Africa thousands of years ago. A special, heart-shaped
herb arose, giving super powers to those who used it, while the strongest substance on Earth was
also mined from the crash site for use in weapons and technology. Warring tribes fought over
these resources, with one praying to the panther goddess for guidance – which led to the first
Black Panther leader, who ruled over most of the land but of coarse jealousy coming from
enemy arises as the power arises.
It will take about half the movie to pass before this introductory sequence clarifies its
significance, along with the corresponding present-day iterations of the characters. Most
important is Prince T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman), who is about to be crowned the new king of
Wakanda. He did good job on his role. At the ceremony, he’s accompanied by ex-girlfriend
Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o), his sister Shuri (Letitia Wright) they both did okay, his mother (Angela
Bassett) she was been able to show her character, his uncle Zuri (Forest Whitaker) not much,
trusted general Okoye (Danai Gurira) sometimes a bit of over act, and compatriot W’Kabi
(Daniel Kaluuya) a mild acting not to great not to bad.
There are some scene that I like just like when they went on the cliff near the waterfalls or sides
of the waterfalls then they assemble there with different tribes to test the new leader that will
protect them all. The final battle between or among the brothers the fight is nice with both
martial art and powerful high tech weapons the fight scene chaotic because its like war kill or be
killed but in that fight maybe just faint or unable to move.
I think the lesson learned from this story is about the societies outlook to other people its the
discrimination that we are facing that forcing some of us to do things that they don’t really want
in the first place. Forgiveness and it is also actually an eye opening movie for a continent that
has been plagued by identity crisis, leadership failure, and bastardization of mineral/natural
resources. The way Africans are treated in the world is actually a reflection of our own failure to
project ourselves in a positive light. Fela Durotoye, a dynamic leadership coach and public
speaker once said, “Ordinary citizens of a great nation will forever be treated better than
successful citizens of a failed country”.
Well all I could say I it has a nice touch and like it, cause this is also part of that show it just
branches out. This movie has a MPAA rating movie of PG-13. This movie tackles many
regarding the society of Africa and any other places it just fictionalize to make it light but this is
great movie but does not have a large punch to some viewers.
My Rating to this movie is:
3 out of 5
