Civil Engineering Department Material II - CIVIL 0010 Proposal For Coursework Assignment (Assignment-1)

This document is a proposal submitted by Sultan Ahmed Alnamani for a civil engineering course assignment on testing the compressive strength of concrete with glass cement replacement. The proposal outlines a plan to cast concrete cubes with glass replacement, test the cubes, and analyze the results to compare normal concrete and glass concrete compressive strength. A timeline is provided showing the 5 week project will include research, sample collection, mixing, 7 and 14 day compressive strength testing, analysis, and report writing. Tools for mixing, curing, weighing, and compressive testing are also listed.

CW input:

This study is conducted to show that the camper between normal concrete and concert
with glass as cement replacement on the compressive strength by:

 Casting cubes of concert with glass as cement replacement.

 Testing cubes and performer lab experiment.

CW output:

The following point will be used to complete the project:

 Research of relative topics in journal articles, relative books…etc.

 Analyses and discuss the results and data.
 Discussing and capering between normal concrete and concert with glass as cement
replacement on the compressive strength
 Writing the report.

Tools:

The tools and apparatus, which will be used in this project :

 Cubes, will be used to put the concrete in its.

 Concrete mixer to mix the concrete.
 Weigh machine to weigh the concrete samples before testing.
 Curing tank to curing concrete samples.
 TO know the slump of concrete the slump cones will be used.
 Compressive testing machine to know the Compressive strength of the concrete samples.
 Microsoft office (word) to doing the report and write the data.
