1.0. Abstract:
In this report we will be representing a company that intends to be a part of constructing a
high rise commercial building in the city. And the employer wants the building to be
constructed under the health and safety regulations and also under the concept of a green
building.

Health and safety policy is manual of a policy and guidelines for maintaining safety in
construction project in the various parts of the building under construction and that include
the substances that could be hazardous to the health of the people who are relevant to the
project, the policy also include the company risk control guidelines. The group will write the
policy manual by giving an aim and objective, writing a real organization chart that includes
health and safety roles and responsibilities of each member in the company, and also the
policy will include procedure manuals, guidelines and codes as also the company risk control
guidelines.

This report will also be about risk assessment of a construction site in considering the health
and safety during the construction process, and this will be done by researching about health
and safety policy from other construction companies and applying a risk assessment for the
project by identifying the hazard that could happen in any part of the building, recognising
the generic and specific hazards, calculating and justification of likelihood and severity and
overall risk, persons at risk, and how to control these measures and who is the responsible
specialist.
