CODE OF CONDUCT
1. Ang buhay na hindi itinalaga sa isang dakilang adhikain ay punong kahoy na
walang lilim, kundi man damong makamandag.
This part of the code gives a message that states we should help our people
and not look down on them, it’s important because it gives a point we should
be responsible.
2. Ang gawang magaling na nagbubuhat sa pagpipita sa sarili at hindi sa talagang
nasang gumawa ng kagalingan, ay di kabaitan. Ang tunay na kabanalan ay ang
pagkakawang-gawa, ang pag-ibig sa kapwa at ang isukat ang bawat kilos,
gawa’t pangungusap sa talagang Katuwiran.
It’s says that if we just do it for ourself and not for everybody it is not an act
of virtue, this shows that we should do things for other rather than be selfish
about what we have done.
3. Maitim man o maputi ang kulay ng balat, lahat ng tao’y magkakapantay;
mangyayaring ang isa’y higtan sa dunong, sa yaman, sa ganda; ngunit di
mahihigtan sa pagkatao.
This part is an important part because we need to be equal no matter what
we are or how we look we should respect others equally to gain respect.
4. Ang may mataas na kalooban, inuuna ang puri kaysa pagpipita sa sarili; ang may
hamak na kalooban, inuuna ang pagpipita sa sarili kaysa puri.
This explains that accepting respect is better than gaining fame, cause this
shows that duty and good things you have done is a great reward than great
fame.
5. Sa taong may hiya, salita’y panunumpa.
->keeping your word is a great responsibility that is why this line says it all, keep
your word cause it will mean a great thing to people around you especially ones
that trust you.
6. Huwag mong sayangin ang panahon; ang yamang nawala’y mangyayaring
magbalik; ngunit panahong nagdaan na’y di na muli pang magdadaan.
As we all know time is important above all things, cause time gives us the
reason to spend what is there to live for as for wealth, it comes and goes
wealth can be retrived by hard work while time you can never bring back
what was lost
7. Ipagtanggol mo ang inaapi at kabakahin ang umaapi.
We should protect those who need help and those who can’t protect
themselves and teach a lesson to those bullying or hurting those who are
weak
8. Ang taong matalino’y ang may pag-iingat sa bawat sasabihin; at matutong
ipaglihim ang dapat ipaglihim.
In days right now we should be wary of our words before saying it, it might
hurt someone so chose the words to use correctly, we must learn to keep a
secret to ensure we can’t embarrass them.
9. Sa daang matinik ng kabuhayan, lalaki ay siyang patnugot ng asawa’t at mga
anak; kung ang umaakay ay tungo sa sama, ang patutunguhan ng inaakay ay
kasamaan din.
Be a trustworthy man, to people around you, may it be family, friends or
acquaintances; if we can lead them to the right things they will follow as long
as you are on the right.
10. Ang babae ay huwag mong tingnang isang bagay na libangan lamang, kundi
isang katuwang at karamay sa mga kahirapan nitong kabuhayan; gamitin mo
nang buong pagpipitagan ang kanyang kahinaan at alalahanin ang inang
pinagbuhata’t nag-iwi sa iyong kasanggulan.
We should respect women no matter what they may look, what their life is,
status or even what they have done, they are a symbol of care to future
husbands and children and we shouldn’t take them for granted nor play with
their feelings.
11. Ang di mo ibig gawin sa asawa mo, anak at kapatid, ay huwag mong gagawin sa
asawa, anak at kapatid ng iba.
What we want to do with our family we must do to others, because we must
be contented of what we have in front of us and not ask something what is
behind us.
12. Ang kamahalan ng tao’y wala sa pagkahari, wala sa tangos ng ilong at puti ng
mukha, wala sa pagka-paring kahalili ng Diyos, wala sa mataas na kalagayan sa
balat ng lupa: wagas at tunay na mahal na tao, kahit laking-gubat at walang
nababatid kundi sariling wika; yaong may magandang asal, may isang
pangungusap, may dangal at puri; yaong di napaaapi’t di nakikiapi; yaong
marunong magdamdam at marunong lumingap sa bayang tinubuan.
A man shouldn’t be praise for he is like a king and above anyone else, a man
should be praise for his actions, good deeds, his honesty and his promises,
his words are important for that is what people will look up in him, if a man
keeps his words he will be respected above any other.
13. Paglaganap ng mga aral na ito at maningning na sumikat ang araw ng mahal na
Kalayaan dito sa kaaba-abang Sangkapuluan at sabugan ng matamis niyang
liwanag ang nangagkaisang magkalahi’t magkakapatid ng ligayang walang
katapusan, ang mga ginugol na buhay, pagod, at mga tiniis na kahirapa’y labis
nang natumbasan.
If every individual that follows the code/rule we will become a symbol of
peace, we can build a future where there is no hate, no anger, no war, but a
place where there is just each other working together and this makes us
important in life. We send the message to the hope of the future.
14. Ang tunay na kabanalan ay ang pagkakawang gawa, ang pagibig sa kapua at
ang isukat ang bawat kilos, gawa’t pangungusap sa talagang Katuiran.
We have to treat each other as same as we are, we don’t treat them like they
are not humans, cause our actions towards them will define how we act as a
human being.
My Reflection towards the Katipunans Code of conduct is that I for one will respect and
follow with full heartedly what was passed down to us, if we were to follow this in our
generation/presently we could achieve a peaceful and prosperous nation, we won’t
have any problem with wars, corruption and misunderstandings, this should be applied
this for me is a symbol of being a Filipino, a Filipino in which shows every
characteristics we Filipinos should show to people around us foreigners or even our
own, as Filipinos we show a purpose that we can be proud of and keep people from
saying we are a hospitable country, for me the code of conduct is a great example of
Filipino blood that heroes died protecting. So this is my own reflection on why this is
important in our society in this generation
