Required Skills & Required Experience

 BS in Civil Engineering.
 8+ years of experience in structural design of bridges (including prestressed and steel
girders).
 Professional Engineering license in Virginia (or the ability to obtain by reciprocity).
 Proficiency in MS Office software.
 Proficiency using CADD (Microstation preferred)
 Ideally, experience with the structural design software Leap Bridge, Merlin Dash, Descus, and
Midas (or CSIbridge). (Experience in similar programs will be considered).
 Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and VDOT design standards.
 Design Build experience a plus.
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 Experience performing bridge safety inspections preferred, but not required (NBIS Team
Leader certification a plus).
 Driving on behalf of company is required. Therefore, a clean driving record is required.
