Project Proposal: Waste Water Treatment

This project proposal suggests using microorganisms as bioremediators to reduce plastic pollution in bodies of water. The microorganisms would consume plastic and break it down into harmless gases like carbon dioxide and ethane, reducing plastic levels by 40-60% over time. The objectives are to provide clean, contaminant-free water to ensure safety and prevent diseases from drinking polluted water. The target customers are water treatment dealers and people living near bodies of water.

Introduction
Most of the water we have today is polluted due to improper disposal of garbage; businesses and cities dump chemicals into our
rivers, lakes and oceans. People also pollute water by accident, by allowing their cars to leak oil and gas into the ground and it
goes through the soil and to water. Plastic is also a major component of making up trash in our bodies water, at least 60% to
80% of marine litter and it takes many years for a single plastic bottle to decompose. For our project, we propose the use of
bioremediators such as microorganisms to reduce plastic simply by consuming it and changing them into water and harmless
gases like carbon dioxide and ethane, we can reduce up to 40% to 60% of plastic in the future. These microorganisms are
beneficiary, occur mostly in their natural forms and are abundant.

Objectives

-To provide clean, contaminant-free and pollutant-free water.

-To provide safeness to the people drinking water.

-To prevent diseases that may appear after drinking water.

-To pave way for the better future of the next generation.

- To extract pollutants, remove toxicants, neutralise coarse particles, kill pathogens so that quality of discharged water is
improved to reach the permissible level of water to be discharged into water bodies or for agricultural land

Target Customers

1. Water treatment dealers- the task of ensuring purification of water for human consumption or other specific uses. The
main process involves removal of contaminants such as bacteria, minerals and chemical pollutants. They utilize
various techniques like chlorination, disinfection and filtration to achieve products suitable for their residential
customers and businesses. As a water treatment dealer, you have to be strategic when developing a robust marketing
program so as to reach to targeted sectors of the community cost-effectively and increase sales.
2. People near bodies of water- they can deploy a set of bioremediators on bodies of water such as rivers, oceans,
lakes and others to ensure contaminant-free water.
