Table of ContentThe Atlas Copco TH10 LM is hydraulically powered and designed for sir foam / mud rotary / down the
hole drilling. Itcan be combined with a choice of circulation systems and drill pipe to enable drilling in
semi-consolidated / consolidated formations using air air foam / mud rotary or DHD depending upon the
formation with suitable accessories and tools.

FEED SYSTEM
‘The feed system is powered through a hydraulic eylinder and
wire rope system and has a pull back capacity of 111 kN

hhold back arrangements. The rotary head travel of 7 m (22.96 ft)
is provided to handle 6 m (20 f) drill pipe and 6 m (20 ft)
casing pipe.

‘The hydraulic system consists of a hydraulic reservoir, hydraulic
pumps, hydraulic motors, valves, cylinders, pipes, hoses, filters
and gauges. The system is designed to be simple, reliable
and functional, The hydraulic system is driven by the deck engine,

B. Pumps
The main hydraulic pump is a four section tandem gear pump

Stage 1 - Rotation / fast feed / high speed easing hoist

Stage 4 - Derrick hoisting eylinder, break-out wrench, jacks,
water injection (optional) hydraulic cooler motor
C. Hydraulic Oil Cooler
‘The efficient hydraulic oil cooler provides air to oil cooling and
thereby maintains optimum system temperature,
‘The system is designed to work up to ambient temperature of
50°C (122°F),
LEVELING JACKS
Four hydraulically operated leveling jacks are provided for
leveling the rig. It provides a stroke of 760 mm (30”) and has jack
pads of 355 mm (14”)
The jacks are provided with lock check valves for safety
during operation, The hydraulic circuit is designed to get 3-point
fast leveling, which maintains less stress on mainfiame compared

All operator controls are controlled from a console which is located
‘on the rear Ieft side ofthe rig, The console includes pull down,
hold back, rotation and air pressure gauge with all drilling and
auxiliary controls, The drilling rig is provided with a full width steel

‘The sturdy platform provides a space for the driller and a helper to
stand comfortably and perform their tasks during drilling operation
‘The central plate of the platform can be removed to access the
centralizer for changing the bushings and other
miscellaneous activities.
CENTRALIZER & BREAKOUT WRENCH
‘The centralizer has a table opening of 400 mm (15.7") and is
split- swing-out type for ease of operation. The table includes &
removable table bushing for drill pipe guide. The centralizer table is
split-swing-out type and has dust curtains to prevent dust to
‘maintain clean environment during drilling

breaking drill pipe and hammer tool joints. It has a stroke of|

AUXILIARY HOIST
An auxiliary hoist is provided for handling drilling tools
and accessories, The rope has a high eapacity hook.
The auxiliary boom swings around the tower for aligning the tools
with the rotary head axis.

‘A Positive displacement DHD hammer lubricator is provided for
injecting oil in the compressed air stream, complete with an oil
reservoir for ubricating the working parts of pneumatic tools,
‘The lubricator is mounted on the deck near the operator console
for easy access and it has three settings with which the operator
ccan vary the flow of oil injected into air stream

WATER INJECTION PUMP
The water / foam injection pump is driven hydraulically and is
controlled from the main control panel. The pump is provided
with a suction hose, foot valve and filters for drawing water from
the tank or drum placed on the ground.

Anbydraulic flow control valve is provided to adjust the output
flow of a water injection pump from the console. Alief valve is

HYDRAULIC WELDER
‘The hydraulic driven welding machines with integrated generator
0300 Amps @ 60% duty cycle is totally enclosed and has mode
selector for selection of welding and lighting, Because of its,
lightweight, it can be easily mounted on the deck
TOOL BOX
A tool box of 765 mm (30") x 300 mm (12") x 300 mm (12") is
provided for storing maintenance tools and accessories on
