DESCRIBING THINGS

1. Opinion : beautiful, good, expensive, bad, etc.


2. Size : big, small, long, short, large, narrow, wide, etc.
3. Shape : square, triangle, round, rectangle, flat, etc.
4. Color : white, red, black, yellow, brown, grey, etc.
5. Age: young, old, new, ancient, etc.
6. Material : wooden, golden, plastic, cotton, etc.
7. Origin : Indonesian, American, British, Arabian, Japanese, etc.
8. Purpose : Sport car , drawing book, running shoes.

Example :
The bag is beautiful The book is new.
The house is large. It is a wooden desk.
The car is blue. This is an American house.

DESCRIBING PEOPLE
1. Profession/Occupation: teacher, scientist, policeman, lawyer, technician, secretary,
singer, photographer, etc.
2. Nationality: American, Indonesian, Chinese, etc.
3. Physical Appearance:
a. Body: fat, thin, slim, etc.
b. Hair: long, short, blonde, black, white, etc
c. Eyes: big, black, small, etc
d. Nose: pointed, flat, etc.
e. Skin; dark, light, etc.
f. Ears : big, small, etc.
g. Age: young, teenager, old, etc
h. Personality traits: serious, friendly, diligent, etc.
i. General appearance: good-looking, pretty, well-dressed, casual dressed, etc.

Example :
She is a secretary She is young
she is an Indonesian woman. She is friendly
She has a black hair She is good-looking
Her eyes is black
