Webpage: October 31, 2018: Dates To Remember

This weekly newsletter from Ms. Devine's classroom provides updates on the learning targets and activities from the past week. In language arts, students reviewed short vowel sounds, plural endings, sight words and spelling. They also discussed character and setting. In writing, students wrote two-line poems describing animals using descriptive words and phrases. In math, students began learning about unknown numbers in addition and subtraction, including how to write and solve equations with unknown values. The class also learned about spiders through reading, crafts and observing a tarantula.
