BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Introduction

We can’t deny the fact that Business Management can help in our daily lives.

Motivation plays an important role in learning because it greatly explains academic

performance. Students are supposedly capable of Instigating, Modifying, and Sustaining

information. Further research showed that students’ motivations and strategy use have

some impact on student performance.According to Schunk,Pintrich thinks students must

monitor,regulate,and control their Cognition,Motivation,and Behavior as part of self-

regulated learning,Zimmerman has revealed that students motivation,and behavior

predicated upon these goals are more likely to do much better in school.Motivation is a

fundamental recipe for academic success. It involves internal and external factors that

stimulate desire and energy in people to be continually interested and committed to

job,role,or subject,or to make an effort to attain a goal. Dornyei argued that motivation

explains why people decide to do something, how hard they are going to pursue it, and

how long they are willing to sustain the activity. In order words, “motivation is what gets

you going, keeps you going, and determines where you’re trying to go”. Alderman

indicates that those students who have optimum motivation have an edge because they

have adaptive attitudes and strategies, such as maintaining intrinsic interest, goal setting,

and self-monitoring. Besides, motivational variables interact with Cognitive, Behavioral,

and Contextual factors to upset self-regulation.

Al Khatib found that four of the independent variables (intrinsic goal orientation,

self-efficacy, test anxiety, and meta-cognitive self-regulated learning) are significant

predictors of college students’ performance. On the other hand, students who report

higher level of test anxiety were less likely to be self-regulating..Ames (1990) stated

that motivation to learning is dependant on long-term, quality attachment in learning and

pledge to the process of learning a student is intrinsically motivated when he or she is

motivated from within: Intrinsically motivated students keenly engage themselves in

learning out of oddity, interest, or enjoyment, or in order to achieve their own scholarly

and personal goals.This is because research shows that students who use cognitive

strategies such as elaboration and organization engage the contents at deeper level

and are likely to remember information and retrieve it later.Cognizant of the fact that

these concepts (students’ motivations and learning strategies) are teachable, this study

was very beneficial because it established Liberian junior and senior school students

motivational beliefs and learning strategy use to learn various subjects. It also

identified potential hindrances to students learning and proffered suggestions for

enhanced academic performance in Liberian. It is foreseen that this research findings

would provide better and clearer comprehensibility of Liberian students’ motivation

and use of learning strategies to help students, administrators, and policymakers

improve teaching and learning through the development or alignment of policies and

programs in the interest of nation building.( Pintrich, Zimmerman., Motivation in

Statement of the Problems

Generally, this study has aimed to help AISAT College-Dasmarinas to be aware

in, The Motivation inspires of the students in taking up Business Management.

Specifically, this study aimed to answer the following question:

1.Who gives you motivation to take Business Management ?

2. What is the fundamental recipe for academic success that also involves internal and

external factors that stimulate desire and energy in people to be continually interested

and committed to job,role,or subject,or to make an effort to attain a goal?

3.Do you think Business Management can help in our daily lives?

Objectives of the Study

Generally, this study aimed to conduct an analysis on how to help the teacher’s or

the school to be aware in, The Motivation inspire student to taking up Business

Management as perceived by the students in AISAT College-Dasmarinas

Specifically, this study aimed to answer the following question:

1. To know the people that gives motivation to the student in AISAT College-

Dasmarinas in taking-up of ABM Strand

Significance of the Study

This study of, The Motivation inspires students in taking up of Business

Management will provide importance to proponents, future researchers, school

administrator, parents and students.

To Proponents. It helps students to enhance the skills to make a good research. To

make a student can’t feel difficulties in terms of making a new research.

To Future Researchers. This study can help future researchers to get an

information about the Motivation and Expectation that Inspire student which study

Business Management.

To School Administrator. The school administrator will aware to the students

that lacks of Motivation.

To Parents. The parents will also be aware to their child, to make their child more

motivated and convince to do their best and have a better future.

To Students. This study can help students to make their self be more confidence

and Motivated to do their task.

Conceptual Framework

We accept the fact that making research is a hard part of being students.But then,since

researching helps a lot of students to enhance the skills of the students and make our lives

better.We uses a lot of time in front of computers and logical thinking on how our

research was going to work.since we really need to succeed we use a lot of reference

through internet book in way to make our research justifiable and verifiable.

Scope and Limitations

The limitation of this study focused only in the motivation that inspired student in

taking up Business Management in AISAT College-Dasmarinas.

Definition of keyterms

Motivation - the reason or the reasons one has for acting or behaving in a particular way.

Persistence - firm or obstinate continuance in a course of action in spite of difficulty or

opposition.

Disruptive - it is a kind of behavior not just the student but also influenced

by surrounding.

Justifiable- capable of being justified.

Verifiable- capable of being verified.

Enhance- to increase or improve in value, quality, desirability, or

attractiveness enhanced the room with crown molding.

Pursue- to find or employ measures to obtain or accomplish,to follow up or proceed

with.

Retain- to keep in possession or use,to hold secure or intact

Cognition- the mental action or process of acquiring knowledge and understanding

through thought, experience, and the senses.

Aimed- to direct a course.

Perceived- to attain awareness or understanding of to regard as being such to become

aware of through the senses.

Instigating- to goad or urge forward to call forth (a feeling, an action,)
