“Tap...Tap...Tap..” Tess hears on the window. She’s relaxing on the Anderson’s couch
reading her favorite novel. The kids are asleep upstairs and their parents won't be home for
another hour. She went back to reading her book to ignore the sound, she decided that it was just
a branch making the noise. Within a few minutes she heard it again but this time it was louder.
It’s going to wake the kids she thought. Getting off the couch and strolling to the window, she
became worried when she realized that there was no tree by the window.
Tess carefully hurries outside to attempt to see what could be making that noise but she
doesn't see anyone or anything that could be. She starts getting a little worried as she remembers
that the back door is unlocked and she starts making up a bunch of scenarios in her head. As she
begins walking back up to the front door she hears the lock click. She runs around to the back
door but that one is locked now too. She peers through the windows but doesn’t see anyone. The
kids! I have to get inside! She says in her head. She sprints around trying every window to see if
they are unlocked. Only one of them was unlocked, but she didn’t know how she was going to
get in without making too much noise. But then an idea popped into her head, the garage! She
knows the password but the only problem is how loud it will be. She decides that she doesn’t
care how noticable the roar of the door will be, it is she just wants to get inside to the kids.
“Creeaak” goes the garage door as it opens very slowly. She runs into the house but it’s
silent. She slowly creeps around trying to listen for either the kids or the people that broke in. As
she gets to the stairs she hears footsteps slowly coming up behind her, but before she could turn
around.. “Bang!” She’s struck in the head by something hard and can feel her head bleeding and
her vision goes blurry. When she wakes up she's in a closet but she can't remember what
happened. As she gets up and walks out she hears loud screams, and then she remembers The
Kids!! She runs to the kitchen and grabs a knife. As she’s walking upstairs she sees blood on the
white walls and white carpet. She slowly heads to the little boys bedrooms to see what was going
on.
“Hehe I can't believe she’s actually falling for this. This is so much fun!” she hears from
behind the door. What?! Are you kidding me if this is their version of fun then I guess I’ll just
have to have fun back. She whips the door open exposing the two little boys giggling.
“ Why would you think this is funny? You guys made a huge mess! What’s the red stuff
all over the walls and floor?” she asks them.
“Well, it’s almost Halloween so we had to do a scary prank! We used fake blood which
scared you even more!” one of the boys says.
“Alright fine, you guys win this time, but you're not gonna be ready for when I get you
guys back.” She picks them up one by one and puts them back in their beds. Their parents would
be home any minute and she needed to pick up the mess downstairs. “Okay boys, it’s time for
bed for real this time. No more pranks. Goodnight, your parent will be home soon.”
As Tess begins cleaning up the fake blood she hears a loud scream coming from outside.
Really boys this better not be you guys. I'm not falling for this again. She grabs the cleaning stuff
and puts it back. She walks to go sit back on the couch while she waits for their parents.
“Ahhhhh”
She hears from outside, but this sounded more real than when the boys were messing with her.
She quickly went upstairs to see if it was them again. When she saw that they were asleep she
ran down the stairs and to the front window. When she looked outside all she could see was red
dripping down the windows...
