Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen and warm welcome to all of
you…
The members of the teaching faculty, the galaxy of student-
teachers and my dear friends how different is this morning. Dear
audience, you will yourself discover as the colours of cultures
and traditions unfolded during this occasion…
Well, my first and foremost duty is to render welcome as part of
our culture.
We feel honored to have with us - The Honourable Chief Guest Dr
Mrs. Farita Viegas, the Principal of our esteemed institute of
education. Mam does not need any introduction as we are with
her since two years. You have formed us to be men and women
for others in numerous capacities.
Prayer song:
Prayer is an action. It is the expression of talking with God with
energy in order to achieve a purpose. Let us begin the traditional
day by seeking the blessing of the lord almighty through a prayer
song. I now request ………to invoke God’s blessings.

Birthday Baby:
Dear teachers and friends, on this great occasion we are all
privileged to celebrate the birthday of Mrs. Joshna. Let us all rise
for the prayer
May God bless you with peace and happiness on this unique day that you
celebrate. And may that divine peace and happiness follow you the rest of your life.
Have a blessed and fun birthday. On this special day of yours, we pray that the
good Lord gives you all the joy and happiness that your heart can contain. Lord,
bless her family near and dear ones. We make this prayer in your holy name.

Significance of the day:
Indian Culture is full of several unique customs and traditions.
Rabindranath Tagore says, Indian culture is like flower lotus. The
petals of the lotus represent different cultures of the country. If
any petal of the lotus is distorted, it loses its beauty. His words
highlight the significance of cultural diversity that has been
existing in our country since time immemorial. Now I call upon
my companion Anam to highlight the significance of the day…

Now, we will have our traditional auspicious LAMP-LIGHTING
ceremony as a tribute to Mother of Wisdom and light. I request

Without taking much of your time, permit us to start the

Yes, I do – the heart beats have gone up – and everyone is eager
to sink into the depth of music, song, lights and joy. Well, here
you are. Today, we will have rainbow of cultural and traditional
events prepared by my companions…
That was indeed a lovely performance.
